I am confused whether to put this in the Runaway singles thread, the USA release thread or this one...here goes, move it if it seems better somewhere else!

Runaway debuted this/last week on the USA Billboard Hot Dance Play charts....#38. Hope it goes higher. Smile

This is the same chart that held Feels Just Like It Should, Little L, Canned Heat and many other Jamiroquai singles.

I was searching a bit and on the Fimi ( italian federation of music industry) High Times is at number 27of Album cahrt, and Runaway is in the Singles at n° 29 and unluckily the music DVD is only to 20 and they are not in sadly!!

I always said Italians don't understand a thing about music, we are full of take that, britney girls and italian melodrammatical stuff!!

But 27 and 29 is not so bad considering they did not came at all since the GH relize !!Wink

AH!

I got up quite happy today, since there's a small article with picture in the music section in my newspaper, Jamiroquai's 'Runaway' is at number 1 in Kosiuko Radio, one of the most important radio stations here in Argentina.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Is a Chart Position interesting?
Sry, perhaps this is not the topic, but why do you think charts matters? For me it’s only interesting if I like the Song. I can’t buy a thing if a Song becomes No. 1 hit but I don’t like it. I'm a Fan and I don't need Chart-Certifikation.

If you're a fan of a band, perhaps you want them to have success, if an album is sold or not.

I think your first post makes no-sense.

If you don't think the chart matters, then don't see this topic.

Don't missunderstand me. Of cause I wish a Band I'd like success. But in my oppinion success is not "chartable".

Success could be many Fans in Concert, good airplay and so on.

The reason I read this thread is that I don't think that chart postion is important for me but obviously for other User. I was interessed in their reasons. And the more I read I like to comment this topic in my way. So don't be offended.

Well about me I'm only conerned about Charts x them, 'cause after all they can say to the world "ehy we are doing a good job" also with good charts positions, or at least seams like being the meter of judgement music industry uses.

But personally is not so important , they can even be last in "All World" charts that they are number 1 x me, for the music they do and x the feelings this music make me feel!

Ummm... no offence D, but good luck trying to argue that a chart is the measure of a quality song! You just have to take a look at what else they're filled with! Wink

I didn't say that. Never mentioned the word 'quality', so don't put words on my posts that I didn't say Wink

Yeah, fair enough, my bad. It's just that, well... charts pretty much give me the shits, whatever form they take.
