Maybe its just me but I haven't heard him sing any of these songs well or even at all anymore.

Well, he can always find an alternative to the "Hee-hees" and "Hoo-hoos". Laughing After all, Jami are centered on improvisation. In other words, he can't sing in such a high tone [<Haha - double meaning], but I'm sure he'll find a way around it all.

His voice is simply "maturing". It happens to all great singers, lets not forget he was very young when he did a lot of those songs first time round.
His voice is like a fine wine and gets better with age. It is also affected by his life and energy levels, gone is the youthful exuberance and desire to make a point and stand out and here we are now with a much mellower soulful version. I like it, I think the point is more that he doesn't sing those songs "the way" he used to as opposed to "as well as" he used to. Take a look at Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra etc any of the great vocalists. When they search their back catalogue and sing older songs, they're never the same, and in most respects better, so, maybe it's more that you don't like it because it's not the version you are "used to". In my opinion thats the great thing about Jamiroquai. They constantly adapt/improvise and change their songs creating a fluid musical experience, so even though it's a song you know well it's different....................its genius alright

Don't forget the fact that Jay's smoking, whether tobacco or weed. This affects the voice too.

Exactly!!
And alcohol, age, coce have affected his voice also.

And why doesn't he want to take some vocal lessons for example?...
Sure, it won't recover his voice, and make it the way it's been 13 years ago...but....at least it'll do good for his voice....

no hes to stubborn for that.I think he wants to move on with newer things.Take "Radio" for example.I forgot it was Jamiroquai performing the song because it was something new and different.

So no I dont think Jay will agree on singing lessons. He just wants to move on with the talent he has to try and do the old and be perfect at the new.

I give him five more years and he won't be singing a note..In addition to vocal coaching/lessons, his voice needs serious rest from touring and smoking. He should also see an ear/nose/throat doctor about having lesions removed from his vocal cords..could really help! It's painful to hear stuff like the BBC1Xtra Proms (High Times intro and Space Cowboy intro) way off tune.
