JC BENTLEY
Singer, Songwriter and all round performer are just some of the things to describe JC Bentley. Her voice can instantly send shivers down your spine. She has been singing from a very early age, and now she is ready to broadcast that talent to the masses.
Her big powerful and soulful voice is not matched by many, and it is no surprise that with an attribute like that she is working with some of the hottest producers and songwriters in the business. The legendary Leon Ware describes her as “An amazing talent” and this is not a comment to be taken lightly from a man who has written songs for Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, The Isley Brothers and James Ingram to name but a few. JC is in the process of working with Leon on a song which will be featured on her forthcoming album.
JC has also co-written and recorded a duet with the highly acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer, Omar on his latest album Sing (if you want it).
She has recently been on tour with Alexander O’Neal and performed his hit “Saturday Love” at the Hammersmith Apollo earlier this year. That performance was captured live on DVD and will be available to buy in January 2007. JC has also performed with Frank Mccomb when he was touring in London and they performed a track from his album “Love Stories”.
JC Bentley is one of those rare artists who can sing any song and make it sound soulful. A song which demonstrates this is her new track “I Wanna Be Loved” . This song has been produced by Matt Johnson and Rob Harris of the multi million selling band Jamiroquai. These both play on the song too. Matt Johnson who is responsible for writing and producing a large percentage of the latest Jamiroquai album has co-written a song with JC called 'No Matter What They Say. The catchy ballad 'Alright Now' was co-written by JC & Brit soul star Don-E known for his work on the Sugababes album & his classic hits 'Unbreakable' & 'Love Makes The World Go Around.
JC is also in the process of working with the legendary Brenda Russell on a track for the forthcoming album which will be released sometime next year.
JC Bentley has a voice which must be heard. She has the respect of her peers and will now unleash her talent on the world. JC is here for the long haul

Thanks for the info...but I am not so much surprised...another half naked blondie, voice is Ok but not my kind of music  Just my opinion  Anyway no shivers cross my spines...but may be I would have to be a man to feel that

I like the version of "Wanna be loved" - you can clearly hear Matt's influence!! Rob's Solo is smooth!!

Edit: and I think you can hear them both laughing/talking at the very end... ... it must be them, don't you think?

Hey there, this is my 1st time on here so hi to everyone & a massive thanx to Fra for setting it up! It is nice to get feedback on what we're doing musically. All of the clips you will hear at the JC Bentley Myspace page are work in progress & I just got a deal so we start recording the album this month. I am so excited about working with Matt, Derrick & Rob, they are so talented! I've also got some amazing collabs happening in the USA including Leon Ware, check him out either in my top friends or at www.leonware.com Ok, I'll be back soon & happy 2007 to you all!x |

Nice to have you aboard! Feel free to post all news about your project here in this topic in the future - as Jamiroquai fans and good-music lovers we are interested to know all details of your work with the boys!!
So, the tracks are not available yet - they are work in progress... that's why. I was looking at iTunes the other day but couldn't find any tracks for paydownload. Keep us up to date, please!

Hey Meike, so nice to meet you! Yes all the tracks are in really rough stages right now but having a deal means we can go into the studio & record them for the album. I wrote some new material with Matt over the Christmas period & spoke with Derrick today to arrange a studio session with him. The myspace page has only been active 13 weeks & now has over 5,000 friends & I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans who have been supporting me. Every encouraging comment keeps me going & it really means so much to know that people enjoy my work. I will definitely keep you posted & a wonderful 2007 to you!x |

can't you see further?
to me she has a great voice which I really envy.
and I don't remember any half naked blonde working with them
@ JC Go Girl you music is great and you are working hard x that, so take the goods and consider the bad only when is costructive

Interesting, if u consider that he wrote the Top 5 R&B single, "I Wanna Be Where You Are", for Michael Jackson and created the "Body Heat" Album along with Quincy Jones.

Hey Fra you have been doing your research on Mr Ware!! That's my girl, he also wrote 'I Want You' for Marvin Gaye & wrote for Isley Brothers, James Ingram, Minnie Ripperton, Maxwell & Tina Turner! He is someone I have so much respect for as an artist and a human being and I am truly honoured to be working with him! jay is also a huge fan of Leon's, though hardly surprising really! |
