Rest In Peace Luger
Although I don't have pets, I understand the attachment to them...
Thoughts and prayers for Jay and for Titan - I'm sure he'll miss Luger. It seems he was very sick, so at least he is in peace now.
From the official site (www.jamiroquai.co.uk):
We were all saddened to hear that one of Jay's beloved dogs, Luger, had to be put to sleep yesterday following an ongoing illness. The ten year old German Sheperd suffered from Motor Neurone disease. He was always there to greet guests at the house and was a permanent fixture in the studio where Jay rehearsed and recorded. He will be sorely missed by everyone. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com

.. oh no... that's sad. For Luger it's obviously the best... hopefully Jay, Titan and those who miss him can console each other

That's very... ... I don't know how to call the feeling... Something bitter-sweet... A great part of me feels sorry for this loss, but there's a speck of me that's kinda, cold... Maybe because I was attacked by a pack of stray dogs once. Since then, I'm very scared of big dogs...
Rest in peace, Luger. |

R.I.P. Luger
Pets are family members and it's always a tragedy when these things happen. But considering he was ill I reckon it was for the best. Doesn't make it any easier on Jay though. _________________ Old school forever! |

R.I.P. Luger
I've never had a pet, but I'll have a dog soon (he was born on January 4th but the vet will give it to me in a few days), and although he's not with me yet, I can't imagine my life without him. So I imagine how bad must be Jay feeling, because he spent so many years with Luger . Pets are so important to everyone, but I believe there's a heaven (or sth simmilar) for dogs, so he must be happy wherever he is _________________

Is horrible when your pet dies. I might sound cynical but I suffer more when I see animals suffering, rather than humans.

It isn't cynical Dyego. It's compassion, and you just have a different sense of priority with compassion when it comes down to it, and it's all good (Just my opinion though).
I on the other hand am complete opposite, but that is what makes the world interesting . Sometimes I feel bad that in my charitable path, I don't volunteer or help out animal organizations or don't even think about it. I just can't see myself doing that over human organizations, but it's all good - because there are some great animal activists out there that do a lovely job.
Maybe Jay will donate money to a local organization in his dog's name - that would be nice. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

My mum and I take care of abandoned dogs in the street. In fact, one of our dogs was found there, and it such a good dog! We usually give them food and water, until we can find a home to them. I know is not that 'cynical', but some people might consider it weird. Human beigns are terrible, animals can't defend by themselves sometimes, that's why I feel compassion for them.

I don't know anyone that would think that is weird. People here do that all the time, but with cats. There are stray cats all over, and my one friend, Faith takes them in. That's really dope you and your mom do that. The world needs more compassionate people that actually take action in whatever they feel whether it's animal rights or human rights or environmental rights.
And on your human beings are terrible comment - I'm sorry you feel that way because I don't think you are terrible especially for what you do for the dogs, or most people in this forum. I don't feel my family and friends are terrible or the students I teach. I don't feel the people I work with are terrible or the guys in the band that I dig so much. Humans have done so much for me, two gave me life - and for that (and many other reasons) I could never say that humans are terrible. There are evil people out there sure...but I don't have the time or energy to focus on them. Just keep it movin' in a positive direction hoping that the compassion will outweigh the terribleness (made up word) in the end.
I don't want to turn the thread my rant, so I'm sorry...back to honoring Luger! _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

I am really sorry.
Like one says, disappointed by the men, never by the animals...
I am of any heart with you Jay.

Very sad moment... I have a dog and I know that the day when she'll die it will be the most empty day of my life.
Because she always tears up a laugh from me.. even if she's doing something wrong.
She knows how to give love, and most of all she's always near me.. I mean with her heart.
So,
rest in peace Luger.
Souls gone but they always leave a mark in our hearts. _________________ "God bless our high times!" |
