The Brits 2007
Surely our boys should have been put up for the outstanding achievement award for contribution to music, but no it was the whining gallahgers
at least there were some justified winners though - Amy Winehouse (i suppose) - sings like an angel - talks like a cabbie!, James Morrison - thoroughly deserved, Orson and The killers with 2 awards for best international band and breakthrough.
at least silly lilly allen got nothing - her face was a portrait! _________________

Hello,
Again, my nonexistance on Talk is being felt, sorry for this, been working longer hours and both of my jobs and been busy on other music forums . Anyway, Jamiroquai I don't think will get any mention on the Brits this year, hate to say it, but until 20 years has gone by and JK has been knighted by the Queen, any tribute is out of the question. But would be pretty good if they could arrange some simulcast of Jami at Gig In The Sky, JK with a microphone doing a jig as presenter Robbie Williams tries to shoosh Borat away from a impromptu wrestle onstage....hehe . Thanks for listening and Cheers!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Rass,
Agree about the lifetime contribution - I went into one the next day at work, questioning why Oasis deserved it - my esteemed colleague commented that Jamiroquai aren't so "mainstream".
I was determined to boycott the Brits this year, as last year, but watched from the beginning...Hey, I'm an ex-Take That fan! So indulged myself....wtf's going on with Orange's hair???
It's all a con. Best international artist - Justin Timberlake? Appealing to the masses??????? Jack Johnson is far better...although I don't like Jack since he hit the mainstream, should have stuck in Ben's world
Don't agree with James Morrison - he's too much like James "boring" Blunt for my liking Rasskers, but if you wanna send that disc, will give some honest feedback. I was actually rooting for Limahl (sp?) - I think he has soul and deserves it . lol
Best Female should've been Pauline Taylor, but hey I'm biased
Perhaps we should turn this thread into who we think should have won each category rather than who was even nominated? Who is our "best of British"
Incidentally, didn't Jay Kay make a point of saying he was "Jamiroquai" in 2005? It confused us all stupid, let's remember the scenerio's:
Anon: Ohhh I love that Jamiroquai HE'S so good
Fan: FFS.... IT'S NOT HE. IT'S A BAND
Then...we had to suddenly debate with ourselves...do we say "him" or "them"? In which case...do ya fink maybe the Brit people had a problem?
K...name your best of brits...for each category.....
