Your Late Night Tales Compilation
Hello Talkers,

This should be in 'music & musicians', I think, but since this topic is based on the 'Late Night Tales' Jamiroquai compilation, I'm gonna make it here.
I was listening the one by Groove Armada (which I strongly recommend) and it really is like a view to another artist's background music source.

So, if you had to choose between 10-15 tracks to be included in your 'Late Night Tales' compilation, which songs that represent you in the best way (music from ANY year/decade) would those be?

D!

Laughing Cool topic. Although my selection would truly be coming from a BASS player's point of view, and also having played in 3 cover bands, that have greatly influenced my music style.

For the most part these are all from the 1976/1978/1980/1981 era

1. Rapper's Delight (Sugar Hill Gang) (Rap)
2. The Message (Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five) (Rap)
3. The Harder They Come (Jimmy Cliff) (Reggae)
4. Stir It Up (Bob Marley) (Reggae)
5. 5446/That's My Number (Toots and the Maytals) (Reggae)
6. Sex Machine (James Brown) (Funk)
7. Too Hot Ta Trot (Commodores) (Funk)
8. You Can Leave Your Hat On (Etta James) (Funk)
9. Hot Number (Instant Funk) (Disco/Funk)
10. Get Off (Foxy) (Disco/Funk)
11. If Ya Want Me Ta Stay (Sly Stone/Red Hot Chili Peppers) (Funk)
12. Too Tight (ConFunkShun) (Funk)
13. You Never Done It Like That (Captain & Tenille) (Disco)
14. You Should Do It (Peter Brown) (Disco)
15. Do It (Til Your Satisfied) (BT Express) (Funk)
16. Love Won't Be Denied (Len Boone) (Disco)
17. Don't Hold Back (Chansen) (Disco)
18. The White City Part. 4 - LOL!
