I've seen it before. It's a Japanese release. I'm not 100% sure but I suspect it's the live version from Japan. The B-side is A Tribe Called Quest... a song where they used a sample of the break from the very same Weldon Irvine song. You can find it for prices between $10 and $15 + shipping. A nice collector's item. I've thought about buying it myself. But I haven't... yet.
Edit: Correction. It looks like there are two different versions of this 7" single. Unless I'm completely misinformed we have the Japanese version I mentioned and an UK version with Love Foolosophy on the B-side. The Japanese version was until very recently available on the Japanese Yahoo Auctions site... perhaps it's still there, I don't know. I'm pretty sure I spotted it on gemm.com too. _________________ Old school forever! |

So you have the UK version.
Is the cover a live version like I thought? Or is it a previously unknown studio recording? If it's live, can you please confirm which gig it's from. Thanks!
If it's a studio version I definitely need to buy this... immediately.
I'm starting to wonder if the Japanese version truly exists or if the information given in that Japanese auction was wrong... Google Translation can make some funny mistakes. But the translation given clearly said the B-side was by A Tribe Called Quest.
I'm starting to think the one I saw att gemm.com was the UK version though. I'm quite positive it was.
I will do some additional investigation to see if we can confirm the existance of a Japanese alternative version... and hopefully track one down as well. I have no interest whatsoever in A Tribe Called Quest song though. I'd much rather have the UK version which is 100% Jamiroquai. I just have a general interest in finding out more about this Japanese thing.
Looking forward to some details Janlu. _________________ Old school forever! |

I would never expect something like that,(a 1-track cover) (it's kind of wierd) still a very good addition to anyone's collection.
nice find!!
