Great documentry, i wish it went for longer i would have loved to seen the recording process of the songs and how he interacted with the musicans when recording (especially Pino Palladino he's one of my favourite bass players)

Did he? Isn't just "Love Is So Cold"? I mean I know it's on the Yoda album, but didn't know Stuart participated in this track also...

ps: "Superman Lover" is a Johnny Guitar Watson song, D just covered it......

No it isn't. Stuart zender have recorded 2 tracks with D' "love is so cold" and "superman lover" . On supermen lover you can feel the warwick vibe of stu's bass. I talk about "Supermen lover " right.

Don't bet:

D slowed down the track quite a bit...

Wow, I always thought that it was Pino playing the bass and that superman lover was just a song that didn't make it to the voodoo album.

Hey guys, I have not been here for a while, anyway in case you don't know an "official" D'angelo compilation is out called "The Best So Far..."

It’s available on iTunes (but not here in Australia) the cool thing is that it has the track "Girl You Need A Change Of Mind" and a few extras like DVD clips (not live stuff).

Apparently this is out because D'angelo is "far from finished, currently writing and recording his highly anticipated next musical chapter. "

Of course I heard about it, he's currently working with Raphael Saadiq on his next album...

He has a new website also, stating that "look for more this fall...":
