JamilyMeet - BirthdayParty - Jazznight
Hello Jamily,
I wanted to share an idea with you which has been growing in the last days and want to invite you to participate - those who want.
My birthday this year will be at a weekend, good chances to invite people for a party. The same day (30th June) there will be a Jazz Festival in my town (Braunschweig) with about 30 bands performing in the whole city. It's called City Jazz Night.
The last days I was speaking to a few people from the Jamily and some of them might come... Sandra comes for sure, a few others are thinking to plan a trip to Germany as well.
So, why not make a Jamily meet that day, meeting at my home and going out that night to enjoy some Jazz performances?
I have some places to sleep in the house, but as it is also summertime we could also camp in our garden if we are too many people - could be funny!
Who wants to join and come? Everyone is invited!

I will try to get more infos about the 30 bands/live acts soon and post them here...

... wow, great!!
I will post some information about the region soon... so you know where it is, how you can travel here, and what you can do and see here if you are planning to stay longer in that area.
If people plan to come by plane then Hannover is the nearest airport - just 30-45 minutes by train from my home.
If you come by train then you should look for trains to "Braunschweig".
Okay, here are some maps:
1. From the distance, so you get an idea where in Europe I am:
2. Zooming a bit into Northgermany:
3. ..and here you can see Braunschweig (where the CityJazzFestival will take place) and Hannover on the left (airport, also a very nice city to visit)
More infos to come...

... Russ and Rob, so happy to hear that!! Peggy, can't wait to meet you again! And Nicki, thanks for your offer, I'll let you know if I need your help!
Cosmic gypsy - bring your kids with you, I have two myself!
Inaki...that's too bad, but I completely understand it. You will be missing for sure..
OK, I'd suggest the main meeting day will be my b'day - the 30th June (saturday), but I will make sure that I will have time on friday and sunday as well, in case someone wants come already on friday. And mabye we can think of something nice for the sunday (sightseeing in Braunschweig or Hannover, or whatever) - depends on when you will all leave again.
I am open for ideas.
Chances are good that the weather is fine at the end of June. So how do you guys like the idea to bring a tent and camp in the garden? (I mean, we probably won't sleep at all...)
In the house is some place for airbeds, if you bring one with you.
I can organise a few matresses and there are two places to sleep in my guest (jami) room - one of them is reserved for Sandra already...
I can also help with searching for a hotel in Braunschweig or Hannover if that suits some of you better... no problem.
Any questions so far?
