Worst Edit Versions
The poll was created based on what has been cut from the song and how it has been glued together
I can already see the result

Good idea for a topic D!
I voted for High Times but to be honest, i've always held the opinion that certainly with Jamiroquai songs, the radio edits don't do the songs justice by removing lyrics and cutting out instrumental parts! The edit of (Don't) Give Hate A Chance is ridiculous! _________________ 'This is the world he wants, pray for the brave and the young...' |

there are 3 really which don't sound right edited, but i have to say out of all of them Don't Give Hate A Chance sounds the worst edited, Too Young To Die and High Times are close behind, but all the tracks editeded so they are played on the radio feel emptier and not as good as the album version |

I chose the worst edit following a tecnical criteria, so my choice was High Times!
If you had never heard the album version of the mentioned songs, you couldn't tell they were edited.
But we can't say the same thing about High Times... Evident fade in/out, the beginning of the second verse is clearly cut ("[this] twisted, crystal kingdom...").
I don't mind too much of cut parts, after all this is the law of the radio versions. But this job must be done properly!
P.S.: I really liked the edit version of (D)GHAChance. The album version is 5 mins long and Jay's sung is ubiquitous. They were able to shorten it to about 4 mins, leaving the lyrics almost untouched. This is why I don't like neither TYTDie edit, where the second stanza was totally ignored.
PPS: WHO CHOSE BLOW YOUR MIND? Come on, if you were forced to make a radio edit, what would've you done? This track was made to be arrested at 4:36 |

you have to think that edits like tytd one comes from a more than 10:00 mintes long song, the album version is also an edit.
as someone said, technically high times is awful, that missing word sounds really bad but i choosed corner of the earth, the cut in the beggining of the trumpet solo makes me going mad _________________

Yeah I hate every edit, why should we miss a part of a track?!?!
I voted for High Times just because of the clear cut...
There's another awful edit IMHO, Little L, missing the first instrumental part _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

High Times has got to be the worst, I had never heard the edit before until I got the Greatest Hits and for ages I thought the CD was skipping! Very badly done _________________ May the wind always be at your back, and the sun upon your face...

I voted for TYTD. I dislike that the instrumental is removed from the song. Though high times is pretty shocking |
