WHAT ELSE SOUNDS LIKE JAMIROQUAI?
as a bass player, i've been listening to the first three albums over and over and over again... what other groups would you all recommend that have a similar "vibe" -- preferably newer groups as opposed to older 70's style ones... thanks. |

Two that I've found like JMQ are Incognito and The Brand New Heavies. However in terms of bass guitar im not an expert. The music is different in some places, but both have that acidjazz vibe about them. well the early stuff does. Incognito is a tight, very musical band with much stronger vocals than JMQ. hope this helps, cheers |

Definitely Incognito. I heard them at a Gig in Kaiserslautern last Friday.
To be honest, if I compare the Cog gig with the last JMQ concert I saw, the Cogs are way better playing live. They didn't lose the jazzy-funky soul in their music. _________________

I definitely want to say between Brand New Heavies and Incognito. You get that same special feeling when you listen to each groups music. |

Newer bands? Mmm... yeah, I think I'm gonna go with Incognito, Brand New Heavis aswell. I will add Simply Red, and try to get the 'Akimbo' album, you'll dig that one
Hope that helps

Hello,
Let us not forget about the other NEW Briton Acid Jazz band that is still around, Kanopus, check them out at :
http://www.kanopus.co.uk
They still have only put out a EP in the last 2 years, but from my understanding, they are still honing new songs for a proper demotape OR combining enough for an indie release . Will keep you updated on them and Cheers !
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________
