What would you like Jamiro to do for the next album?...
Well, I'd like it if the next album would be some sort of a prog funk/jazz thing. You know, only two songs, both 20-25 min long, with vocals. You know, track one/side A could be a speedy 25-minute funk track, much faster than DILWUTD, and a helluva lot dancable beat (a la TWM). Side two of the record on the other hand, could be some sort of a laid back jazz thing, much like the Dave Brubeck Quartet's "Time Out" or Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" albums, but with no electronics, just a lot of stoned-age old-school cool jazz.
You know, the concept would be excellent that way! On one side of the record, you have an upbeat dance-funk thing, and on the other side of the record, laid-back groove imported from the land of Chill. The cover art would also have contrasts. On one side, you'd have a colorful abstract psychedelic cover that corresponds to the first track I mentioned, while a black/white photo of a lounge-bar would represent the 'chillier' side of the album.
Another awesome gimmick with the album would be if they wouldn't put 'this is side A, and this is side B' on the cover/label, but would just put the corresponding track title on its respective record side, so that you don't know which song's meant to be the 'first' one. Oh, yeah, and maybe also a segue between the tracks, so that the upbeat track makes a transition into the 'chilly' one, and that the chilly one also segues back to the upbeat one at its end, so that we get a closed circle that does nothing but loop endlessly , and doesn't let us know which track comes first... Really, what's better than an endlessly looping concept album full of progressive Jazz and Funk, and 25-minute songs and other awesome stuff? |

@ Knjaz! So let's say they release some endless self-recursive loop of AFO and EOPE - then what? You see, it would really be great, but we can't get everything we want... because after that our lives would be full and we would want nothing else! _________________

Well, you'll have to get tired of the endless loop at least once... |

Ok, DYN fits your project better? I'll definitely keep the EOPE side though! _________________

What do I want? Mmmm... let's just say that I'm happy as long as they do what they want/wanted to do all this years and people didn't allow them to.
What I'd definetely like to hear is some funked jazz sh*t.

All I wanna hear a "fresh" Back to the old school! Yeah absolutely acid jazz and if they don't even remember how to make that stuff they can buy a ticket and go to the gigs of Incognito, Brand New Heavies and Count Basic...
A place between jazz,funk,soul...add just a bit of the last jmq stuff, disco and hiphop flava...this is the place I'd like to be _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

i want them to mix the first three albums and make something new... i know they can... NO MORE computers and synthesizers... take for example Abbey Road... that Runaway was incredible... really... musically precious! _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!
