buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Very Happy This topic has been discussed countless times in different variations, Brother Grizzler, but it's good to discuss again and again to get all the possible logical scenarios out there in discussion Very Happy. But given the "new style" of free music downloads "leading to legit pay downloading/self-produced boxset sales", originally innovated by Prince's Musicology/then Radiohead's "complete disregard of the Music Industry" InRainbows" success/same dog tricks by Saul Williams/NIN stepping up the idea by offering "The Slip" in higher audio format downloads in addition to regular MP3 (FLAC/Lossless) , then it's somehow inevitable other music acts would experiment with this idea, though I don't think Metallica will be chimed in with the kind of "Bells & Whistles" that NIN/Radiohead got with their albums. I think this means wouldn't be as easy as it is for bands like Jamiroquai, purely dependant on either corporate sponsership money, for either tours or private gigs. Now, granted, the "AllDiggDown" development relationship with Jamiroquai is a good first babystep, but their is still the issue of "time taken to set up shop and start offering pay downloads of new material". For the seasoned fans, like us here on Talk, we can bare whatever wait is needed to complete this transition, but for the newbies, they will be bitching/moaning/speculating into the ground till they can hear an actual single of some sort ( Razz Maybe someone should comically leak "Snooze You Lose" and say that's the new single...I kid I kid Razz !) . But this whole issue boils down to one thing that these established are trying to do, that was nearly impossible to do WITHIN a record deal, give back to the fans whom have supported them the longest and try to appease the new ones whom have just discovered them at the same time. So, it's still pretty much up in the air for Jamiroquai, maybe just "concentrated fest touring" for the time being, with a few "live dabbles of new material" to see what kind of reaction the fans give them, THEN, sometime in 2009, they release bits and pieces of new material via AllDiggDown and other places. Wink That's just my 2 cents, thanks for the article link Grizzler, much appreciated and Cheers Wink !

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
