There are many pieces of news flying around lately what with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and various horrific deaths in the world. However, I would like to draw a few minutes of your attention to the BBC Journalist, Alan Johnston, who disappeared on 12 March in Gaza. If you would be so kind as to read the following petition and enter your name (first name only will do), your email address and country, to show your support in his release. After seeing his parents on television, it struck me that, if this was my child, I don't know what I would do....

Thanks for posting this up here Anna. The petition is really long - that's great. I saw this morning the news report about him being shown with the vest.
I couldn't imagine what his family is going through right now.
The WHOLE situation is sad from his kidnapping to everything else going on there on all sides.
Just sad.

"Captors tell me that very promising negotiations were ruined when the Hamas movement and the British government decided to press for a military solution to this kidnapping, and the situation is now very serious.
"As you can see, I've been dressed in what is an explosive belt, which the kidnappers say will be detonated if there is any attempt to storm this area. They say they're ready to turn the hideout into what they describe as a death zone if there is an attempt to free me by force.
"I do appeal to the Hamas movement and the British government not to resort to the tactics of force in an effort to end this. I would ask the BBC and anyone in Britain who wishes me well to support me in that appeal. It seems the answer is to return to negotiations, which, I am told, are very close to achieving a deal."

I cannot judge this people 'cause I not standing on theyre closes but still something in my mind sais is insane!!

i hate this fuckin war over 50 years wish kill innocent kids men and weman in the name of god what a shame  we must learn to respect each oder as human been and none hate each oder because of skin color or religion . with violance and pression we reach to nothing positive its but easy to say then to do!!the best for mr johnston is as he say negotiations with the hamas and not to give them a chance for more killing innocents .

the islamic Prediger Abu Katada is arrested in Great Britain. Katada, which is called actually Omar Abu Omar, came 1993 to London and in October 2002 was for the first time arrested. In August 2005 it was again arrested because of the assassination attempts in the Londoner underground. A speaker of the British State Department criticized the explanation. Such messages meant for the family and the friends of John clay/tone only more wrong. Negotiations with the kidnappers over John clay/tone to release do not give it. The government undertakes however everything, in order to get the journalist freely .
The Middle East summit in the Egyptian bathing resort Scharm el sheikh went in the evening with rather symbolic gestures good intentions for Palestinian president of the Mahmud Abbas to end.
United itself the culminating express takers were in their refusal of any concessions to the Hamas, which has now full control of the Gaza Strip. Olmert expressed itself on a common press conference again for a two-state solution for the overcoming of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
the palestinain president want help from the uno and want to change the minister president who is the hamas leader .
its stupide to help such terrorist and want them to be free because the bombs in london kills innocent people and this man must pay for his crime and not to be free .hamas play bad cards and that will turn bad for them . |

Thanks Deesh! I am so happy at this news!!!!!! to those who supported him in their demonstrations and prayers. The power of the mind is a wonderous thing! Missy M, I agree, this should not happen to anyone....it's a sad world we live in, but am glad he has been freed. Sadly, others have not been so fortunate.... |

ohh God, this are the news I love to ear.
I'm really happy about it, I don't know why but now I'm also more positive about Maddie's finding/freedom! if a miracle happen once....maybe we can be twice lucky!!
