Historic Day: Snow in Baires! (1918-1928-2007)
Hello Talkers,
I thought maybe I could create this topic cause today in Buenos Aires it snowed after almost 80 years!!! You can imagine, seeing my hometown covered by snow is something unique!
The whole country is speaking about this!

Yeah, you might think we are all crazy or something cause it's snowing
You're used to it, not us!
In Argentina does snow in winter, but in the south, places like Bariloche or Ushuaia. Not in Buenos Aires. That's why is such a big event in here. We might have to wait another 80 years to see this again

Well until today, I couldn't imagine seeing snow in winter Only in the movies!
Until today, the only snow I had ever seen in my life was inside the fridge
Unfortunately, at least in my part of the city, there wasn't enough snow to make a snowman... though... maybe I could pick up some from the cars in my street _________________

...crazy!!!
Happy in a way for you guys - you must feel like little children now, playing in the snow. But it also has a kind of frightening touch... watching those pics, considering the circumstances... _________________ ~ I look up to Heaven, every star I see is mine.

that's true, it's not the best weather considering 40% of our population is under welfare, and some of our poor people lives on the streets or in unappropriated homes...
but in the other hand, having snow in this part of our country is something *magic* and "free" for everybody here |

Too bad the snow is over already. Would have been awesome if it stayed on today as well!
That's better anyway, because I have to study for a final I have this Friday and it would have distracted me too much!

I must say I'm a little disappointed in your pictures Dyego. I expected them to have more depth, more color, more power.

I'm just kidding!
I wish we had just a little blast of snow right about now. We are in the middle of another heat wave that is calling for anyone over 60 years old to stay inside. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |
