Nationalities of the Jamily - collecting national anthems
Since we have a topic here with the flags of our countries, here one with the national anthems.
And I begin with the Luxembourgish national anthem "Ons Heemecht" (Our homeland):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fati6R8Osj4
I know there is no text in this example, but i can write it down for you:
Wou d'Uelzecht duerech d'Wisen zitt,
wou d'Sauer d'Fielse brëcht,
wou d'Rief laanscht d'Musel dofteg bléit,
den Himmel Wäin ons mëcht.
Dat ass onst Land fir dat mir géif heinidden alles won.
onst Heemechtsland dat mir sou déif an onsen Hierzern dron,
onst Heemechtsland dat mir sou déif an onsen Hierzern dron.
O du douewen deem séng Hand
duerch d'Welt d'Natiounen leet,
behitt du d'Lëtzebuerger Land
vrum friemen Joch a Leed.
Du hues ons all als Kanner schonn
dee fräie Geescht jo ginn.
Looss virublénken d'Fräiheetssonn déi mir sou laang gesinn,
Looss virublénken d'Fräiheetssonn déi mir sou laang gesinn. _________________

How many language versions are there of the Swiss anthem?
By the way, there are also loads of banks here in Luxembourg! _________________

Darling Jamily !!!
Flags, countries, monarchy, geography, chocolates, banks . . . our homelands etc., etc., etc.
. . . I've been absent from 'talk for a while as a few of you noticed. When I was flying home to my resident country of Saudi Arabia, I had to fly across Europe, from the North West corner to the south east corner of Europe. As my flight tracked across Europe, I took lots of pictures and thought about the Jamily members who know me whose homelands I was flying over, and about the national communities of Jamily.
The phenomena and unison of sincerity in Jamily never fails to amaze me. However, familiarity breeds contempt, and it's been sad to see some aspect fair poorly where a little prudence and kindness could have cured simple things.
It warmed my heart to remember all of Jamily so fondly, a family of a different blood, but just as close and just as important.
. . . no-one has as much sand as I do !!! LOL !!! |

that's right, but it's such a melodic and anthem and...that put us the "force" to fight.
