Hi guys,
great thing Meike!!! really!!
I all ready have one question which maybe you all know ( it that case you can answer me before of the band as I saw someone did before and believe is superhelpfull), here I go:
Guys (band members) while you record a song do you do it all togheter like repeating a live untill it work or separatly? I mean first the drums than..keybords, than guitar..and so on or all in once?
I don't know why but in my mind you're all in a room having fun and creative time but probably it works differently!
Thanks

I support these two questions:
"mr.az wrote:
after the last album, there's a chance we can get the unreleased stuff along with the next album?"
"Dyego wrote:
Now that you are in a, let's say, creative freedom, are you exploring new musical territories? What are the ideas you have in mind for the new album?"

im still really curious to know what the gig in Jamaica was all about and was there any footage taken. Was it a private function which i am assuming or promotional work? _________________

My question is:
Are you planing to play rarely played tunes like 'everyday' and 'half the man' in your next gigs?
Thanks! |

(to Derrick) since he's one of the older members
-Is there any song/s or even an entire album from the band's catalogue, that you feel could've been done better?
(to anyone)
-Why do you think sales of the last albums went down after the success of 'TWM'? Is that important to you?
-How many songs you usually make for each album?
-Do you have any personal favorite song that hasn't been released from the previous albums?

A vote from me to this song-writing process question!

I'm pretty sure they already gave an answer to this question in interviews, (Deja's one).
When Toby was still there, he said that it was in the beginning just him with Jay. When they had the main melody, the others bandmembers add their parts.
When Jay would sing a melody, Rob said that he'd hit some chords on his acoustic guitar accompanying Jay's melody, and it'd naturally flow from that.
For corner of the earth, Sola and Derrick were the one coming with something, and from the percussions they wrote the song.
Just another story begun like a jam from what Stuart said.
When they record the song, they play it all together, and in one take. |

Mmm yeah, I also remember something about Jay telling Derrick he found the right beat for 'Stop Don't Panic' while playing. No way I'll remember where I read that!

The concept is called a 'jam' or 'improvisation', now. |

GOOD questions, esp from Knjaz...
I'd ask any of the band members:
How is everyone?
What was the main inspiration for the Dynamite album? The cover seems kind of dark and bleak....what was the message you were trying to convey?
What is your greatest moment this year? Any regrets?
Now that your band is free from the shackles of Sony, what kind of effect will this have on the music you are creating?
Would the band consider playing in/being a part of a movie?
What are you looking forward to the most right now?
Jamiroquai is ever evolving with new sounds...have you ever thought to incorporate any animal sounds in your music?
Do you know the magic in your music and how it affects fans? |

I dind't mean a jam session Knjaz..but a song played all togheter for the recording...again and again and again until is pefect.
Thanks guys, I remember that too now but isn't that more about the writing process?
I believe there are many ways to write a song. I ment the way they use to record it, if any one play his part separetly and than is added via computer ( or however is called the software, Protool? or things like that) or they are all togheter as I was explaing to Knjaz.
@ Russ: I'm not sure at all but I had the feeling Jay was just joking...but IF it exist I wanna see the crowd faces and his eyes

It never ocurred to me that the Jamaica thing was a joke, until now. Although I've searched on funkin, the 'live' section, and no gig appears after Scala.
@Vere: I get your question, and still has my vote

If jay wants to, he'll have to beat me to it. We should organize a competition |
im in on the competition too
more questions to the band
-what do u think about tribute bands?do u look at them in a special way?
-do u know how many fans were inspired by the band's music to start in the music?
-there's a way we can have a HQ version of the fourth version of the cosmic girl video?
(i wanna ask that because i need that one hehe)
-to everyone on the band, wich are the 10 songs u love the most?...
-of jamiroquai
-from any artists
and a really special question...at least to me sounds as a dream...
-there's a chance in the future a fan can be part of the recording of a song?
(that's mean if the fan can play some instrument too or even sing...i know i ask so much but is a dream ) _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time
