Untitled 7th Jamiroquai studio album Quiz Jamiroquai 7th Studio Album Quiz We are still months and months away from the release of the new JMQ album, but maybe I thought we could exchange opinions on what would you like for this album, including: - Musical style/s through the album? (Choose one) "Jazz/Funk" "Funk/Rock" "Disco/Electronic/Funk" - What should the album cover feature? (Choose one) "Jay" "Buffalo Man" "The band" - What would you prefer for the tracklisting? "Songs: +lenght and -quantity" "Songs: -lenght and +quantity" - From these selection, for the promo video for the first single, which style would you pick? "Supersonic" "When You Gonna Learn" "High Times" "Love Foolosophy" - Should we expect another song that starts with "Black..."? - Should we expect another mediocre song in track 6 like in the last couple of albums? - Should the backing singers have a major role through the album? - Should the album be more brass-orientated? "Musical style/s through the album?" Cool jazz + funk. I want them to do something out of the ordinary. "What should the album cover feature?" The Buffalo Man, a'course! "What would you prefer for the tracklisting?" Two songs, each 25 minutes long. "From these selection, for the promo video for the first single, which style would you pick?" High Times "Should we expect another song that starts with "Black..."?" Yes. "Should we expect another mediocre song in track 6 like in the last couple of albums?" Yes/no. "Should the backing singers have a major role through the album?" Yes. "Should the album be more brass-orientated? " Yes. "Should the album include at least one instrumental track like the good old days?" Give me an instrumental cool jazz/prog funk work with a wordless backing singer chorus and J on harp. "If you had to choose one song that represents the over-all musical feel of the album, which one of these would you pick?" Freddie Freeloader/IILIIDI "Which hat-style you think should Jay use as a logical step from the previous ones?" Bring back the fluffy one from the EOPE era. "Pick one of this songs to be completely erased from the forthcoming tour tracklist" Cosmic Girl. Not that it's bad, but they're playing it too much. I'm all down for evolution, so I'll be totally accepting new perspectives from Jay. I loved the EOPE and TWM eras, but we can't just stop there. Things must change, in order to get better. I agree it may not always be awesome, but face it, if we don't take a little risk and accept new material, we'll never know if the new material is awesome or not. _________________

(Choose one) "Jazz/Funk" though without throwing away the "electronic experience" of the very last albums! - What should the album cover feature? (Choose one) Actually I'd like to see something different from the options you put... though I guess I have to respect the rules: "Buffalo Man" - What would you prefer for the tracklisting? "Songs: +lenght and -quantity" "Songs: -lenght and +quantity" I don't care. I want some ideas: if it takes a long track to express and materialize each idea, there will be long tracks; otherwise... - From these selection, for the promo video for the first single, which style would you pick? oki, so style: Jazz/funk cover: THE BAND songs: -lenght and +quantity promo style: High Times I hope they change coluor this time we had enought of those Black songs! and no, no mediocre songs at any place ( please). yes give space to the girls and to brasssssssssssssss ( a lot!) yes to the instrumental yes to special guests....( maybe some unknown new talent) and: Travelling without moving as rapresentative song!
