James Marsh - the man behind EOPE artwork
guys, i'm tellin ya, this man is awesome.
check out his portfolio @ http://cuttergallery.com/, click on 'james marsh'.
also take a look at a sh*tload of his work @ his own website, http://www.james-marsh.co.uk/.
just sit back and be amazed...
i recognized a painting at the latter website, i realized i saw it in poster form at a lifestyle store a few years ago. i was so undecided about getting it and ended up not buying it coz my sis said it looked too morbid. it was dead cheap and didn't know it was by the same dude who did the EOPE artwork. now i regret my @$$ off.
oh well, if anybody knows or heard about an auction of the original EOPE artwork at eBay or something, do let us know. i emailed james marsh recently and the lovely chap promptly replied, mentioning that he had plans of doing so. |

His painting for the inside pocket of EOPE matches so well the content of the lyrics!
I appreciate his inspiration from the style of Le Douanier Rousseau. It describes an Eden-like world of Nature where plants, animal and men live together in harmony.
I can imagine this is just the ideal world that young JK has in his mind while writing EOPE with Jamiroquai... |

his work rocks..some reminiscent of the beatles yellow sub-marine and blue meanies day but somehow more sophisticated. i like the whole surreal thing, it really does it for me |
