Anyone Doing anything FUN or interesting this weekend?
I'm taking a road trip with a friend. It's going to be an adventure. Hopefully one with cave explorations, hot mineral soaks, massage, sand dunes, friends, dancing, singing, and who knows what else. |

What's a Klondike bar?
I know, the Klondike is a river in Alaska and Canada, but for me it sounds like a combination of the words "Klont" (Luxembourgish for hooker) and "dyke". So, is this a bar for lesbian prostitutes? If yes, I wouldn't put a foot into that establishment! _________________

Klondike bar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Klondike bar is a brand name for a dessert generally consisting of a vanilla ice cream square coated with a thin layer of chocolate. They are generally wrapped with a silver-colored wrapper, upon which the mascot for the brand, a polar bear, appears. In the UK, the generic name for this type of dessert is a choc ice.
The Klondike bar was invented by the Isaly Dairy Company of Mansfield, Ohio in the 1930s. Rights to the name were eventually sold to Good Humor-Breyers, part of Unilever. It is known for its slogan "What would you do for a Klondike Bar?" |

oh, and about your question about weekend activities... I will go with my hubby and 2 friends to a "Murder Mistery Dinner". It's a combination of a four-course-meal in a cosy restaurant and an interactive theatrical performance. While we are dining, there will happen a "murder" in the restaurant. We and the other guest will have the chance to interview the actors and find out who is the murderer and what really happend. You are involved in the crime scene investigations and can inspect pieces of evidence and so on. It's big big fun - I have been to those Murder Mistery Dinners 2 times in the past and you really feel like Mrs. Marple or Sherlock Holmes...

Meike, this dinner seems to be very funny, reminds me a bit of the werewolf cards game. Do you know that by any chance?
Me, on the other hand, don't know really yet what I will do next weekend. _________________

haha Ophone...what, you don't like lesbian prostitutes? haha..
Cosmic Mouse, you are exactly right....a Klondike Bar is a square of ice cream (usually vanilla) dipped in chocolate.
your murder mystery dinner sounds interesting...What's on the menu, blood soup (chanina) and liver? |

This friday I'll go to church. Yes, I'll go to the church of Bridel, not for mass, but for a jazz concert involving the church's orgue. It's a woman called Vanessa Rodrigues from Montréal who will play on it, accompagnied by a jazz combo, in which I know the saxophonist, Guy Schadeck.
Do you know by any chance Vanessa Rodrigues? _________________
