Grant Green!
Don't tell me you don't know of this guy! He's a freaking legend! Still, in case you really don't, that guy was a jazz guitarist well known for albums such as "Solid", "Matador" and "Idle Moments". I really love his music, and would love to meet a few people on this site who also listen to him. |

GRANT GREEN IS A LEGEND!!!
He is indeed one of the greatest legends of Jazz guitar. He was an excellent guitarist and composer. So I can understand your passion for Mr Green's music, Knjaz.
The sad thing is, I didn't know of him until beginning of this year. A friend of mine was playing "Blue Mist" on his stereo. And I was like "Who is that guy on the guitar? He's awesome"... I'm glad I know of him today! |

You're lucky! I only found out about him a few months ago. I think the first song of his I heard was "Lazy Afternoon" from the "Street of Dreams" album. You know, all of his records I have are pretty great. My favorites are "Street of Dreams", "Solid" and "Idle Moments", among many. My favorite song of his is "Jean de Fleur", which is so, so awesome. You know, he might've died more than 30 years ago, but I don't think that anybody ever surpassed his groove, as I've heard many different jazz guitar compositions (thanks to Last.fm), most, if not all of them paling in comparison to a single string pluck of Green's. |
