My Fav current music favs
buffaloman_R Hello, :bm_r:

Good choices Swiss, I'm sure that's the kind of stuff that JK would listen too, as for me, I probably have the most wide-open music tastes among my fellow JamiroTalk.net regulars. When I was growing up, I listened to alot post 70s and early 80s R&B like Chaka Khan & Rufus, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and many others. Then I got into the Rock N Roll with Zeppelin and many others, that was in the mid 80s. Then throughout the 90s, it was mostly Brit invasion stuff like Jamiroquai, Oasis, Blur, Pulp, The Charlatans, The Verve and bands of that sort. Here are some current I'm listening to alot of lately, I hope you find some stuff here you might want to discover for yourself(Yes, even hardcore fans like your truly like other music to fill the time inbetween Jamiroquai studio albums!) Wink:

The Kings of Leon-Youth & Young Manhood:
Awesome mixture of Southern & Garage Rock!!!

The Streets-Original Pirate Material
Yeah, the British Eminem is about right!!!

Radiohead- Hail to the Thief
Are they the Beatles for my generation? Yep....

There you go, take care and Peace!!!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Hi Jamirofan2000

Thanks for your list Smile I will check a few of them next time, when I am in a record store....

I like brit pop too Smile Travis, Coldplay, Blur, Pulp, Elastica, The Verve, Oasis (the older stuff)

But I am open for different sounds, I listen also to The cure, Depeche Mode, U2, Donna Summer, Andrew Langford (the god with the didgeridoo, sorry, but for me he is the number 1 by far!), Camouflage, Radiohead (Yes, they are the "new" beatles Smile ), Stereophonics, Morcheeba, Air, Talvin Singh (Moby from India), Moby....

Also some "harder" stuff like Pennywise, Audioslave, Queens of the stone age, Boysetsfire, Me first and the gimme gimmes....

Or GangStarr, Rakim, Beastie Boys, Pete Rock, Alliance Ethnik, I am...

And as Swiss of course: Stephan Eicher (cool homepage with the cabs www.stephaneicher.com Very Happy ), Sens Unik, Lunik...

Regards & have a nice day

SJK

What's in Jay's car?

Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, Brand New Heavies, Bee Gees, Rolling Stones, Chili Peppers, and let's hope he has a few of his own CDs in there, although I doubt he ever listens to them.

What kind of music is popular at your school? I can't believe you're the only person that likes the Stones! Where I come from everyone likes either classic rock or rap, and no matter who you are, you're probably going to the next Dave Matthews concert, and buying a T-Shirt (everyone wears their T-Shirt to school the next day, you see about twenty of them). Anyway, I know many people like the Stones around here, but what is more predominant over there?
