>>>> Jamiroquai frisbee charity auction <<
(Topic edited on 25th November 2007)
I have decided to list the Jamiroquai frisbee on eBay and 100% of what is raised will be donated to Cancer Research UK, please bid generously!!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170173074227
Bearing in mind that I sold a plastic Tesco shopping bag about 3 years ago and it raised £41.00 for charity, then I am hopeful that I could raise even more!!

why not list it as a charity item??
you don't have to put all of the funds to charity, just a percentage.
it's this one right?

Hmm he wrote 3 lines, how can you miss the second line?
have to give russky thumbs up, i would feel strange to even ask something like that! But it is the idea that counts!
The Firisbee issue, it is yours.
It is a gift....
But if you feel guilty about owning it....it is yours!
Maybe you could talk with your friend about the idea of selling it.? _________________ May you always feel the wind on your face and the waves on your toes |

Yes he used to work for a local newspaper, and 2 years ago, he gave me 3 Jamiroquai promo CDs for nothing to add to my collection as he knew I was a big fan. Remembering the Cds he gave me the frisbee - no I haven't asked him yet.
I do feel guilty, perhaps I should do a 50% charity auction on it then, any ideas what charity - it might raise more that way? |

Just answering your question. If you want to keep it Jamiroquai related, then you could donate to one of the charities the guys support. Just ideas because you asked.
Matt (Youth Cancer Trust)- http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7147
Jay does a number of them or did a number of them including Save the Children, Children in Need (actually I think the whole band did this or does this), Animal Defenders International (
http://www.ad-international.org/conservation/go.php?id=124&ssi=16) and I'm sure there are others...that is all I remember
You could also have the buyer get to choose one and you can also do the MacMillan Cancer Charity, which currently has an auction going on from Jamiroquai fans - http://funkin.com/news/?id=3687

I'm pretty sure he just wanted to know if someone posting on this forum would buy it. |

you know it makes sense.
i was thinking of handing it to a band member at one of the next gigs and asking Jay to throw it. Whoever catches it can make some sort of donation to a charity of there choice
just an idea _________________
