ending an ebay auction before time
hello,
I would like to know if anybody can give me a word of advice for some situation I am experiencing..
I am buying a pair of shoes from this guy in the states, and I have made him an offer so he ends the auction before time.
he agreed to do so and asked me to deposit the money in a paypal account (the e-mail adress is similar to the one he used in the auction for nickname)...
what I want to know, is this safe thing to do? I received an answer on my gmail but not on my ebay msg folder, and this would be the very first time i do a thing like this. any advice on the topic/
auction ends on sunday, so we have some time and I will be grateful to read.
regards

Does the seller offer the "Buy It Now" option? If so, then the ending of the auction before the said time is normal. Also, you might want to take a look at the feedback the seller has received from other buyers and/or sellers. (Not everyone has 100% positive feedback, especially if they've sold lots of things but that can give you a clearer picture.)
If it looks good then it should be fine; I've used Ebay & Paypal many times. Just save any e-mails, etc. Do you mind posting the link? _________________
