The FDA said it would continue to monitor the safety of cloned food and would adjust its policy if necessary.

...So if there's a problem, they're gonna react only after it inficts all damage possible.

...Why clone, really? Why not just do it the old-fashioned way, 'cause I most certainly don't want a piece of meat in my lunch whose DNA has been tampered with to produce an animal without hair/feathers/legs/wings/a head?

exactly....just makes me mad that they are going to allow them to produce it without labels.....I mean at give me a choice.

But, for me I have always bought organic milk and drank organic soy..

and i try to buy organic grain fed beef if I have to buy meat.

just one more reason to go back to entirely eating vegetarian! Rolling Eyes

Well, yes... or simply stop eating. Vegetables and grains are affected too with all those genetically modified organisms you can have on your plate nowadays.

Food and health is something that really interests me, and for those of you who can, I would recommend to buy meat and vegetables by local farmers. Someone you might be able to ask questions about how they work, where you can take a look at their work, their animals, to see how they're treated etc.

Only to make conscious choices can we consumers change what happens. We have to take control over our own food.

I know this might be difficult for some people, because you live in cities etc. but IF you can, try to buy local products.

Also, like I said you can try to buy only 'Organic' food. Which, is a little bit more expensive but, if everyone were buying the prices might come down a little.

that is one thing that is possible if you live in a big city, there are health food stores now,

Here are some:

1) Whole Foods
2) Sprouts
3) Henry's
4) Wild Oats

in the UK:

1) Whole Foods Market
2) Wild Oats
3) Bell Bates
4) Temple Health Foods

there are alternantives even if you don't want to eat only vegetarian!
