Heath Ledger Found Dead

buffaloman_R Hello there, buffaloman_R

Sad Hard to believe, but Australian actor Heath Ledger was found dead of apparent drug overdose today, he was only 28 Sad. I have always respected his work and he was one of the rare young actors whom never seemed to pick a bad movie role, was REALLY looking forward to his version of the Joker in the impending 2nd new Batman movie "The Dark Knight". He will be missed....

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Terrible news isn't it - being Australian, we were all proud of him and knew that he was just going to get bigger and better with his film career. I think he accidentally overdosed on prescription pills, it just shows you how easily prescription drugs and kill you - very very sad and to think he was only 28yo Sad

I can' understand why a person with a great career, a lot of money and beauty can use drugs...that's totally insane and happens a lot of times... How can they be so stupid??? They should thank god for what they have but they can just throw everything away Crying or Very sad

I think its sad that people are talking about the loss of an actor, more than the loss of a father.

That little girl is the one I feel most sorry for. She has to grow up, not only without a father, but with public scrutiny and speculation surrounding her father's death.

FD - Having those things doesn't take away from the fact that they are still human beings with real human being problems. No one knows what Heath was personally going through. Money, beauty and fame don't make you immune to temptations of life like any normal person. Rolling Eyes

Right...that's maybe because human beings can't handle all the pressure of a lifestyle like that...being everyday on the spotlight and the success coming in a short period of time are things that can make yourself loose the contact from the reality. By the way this is what happens when you're not grateful for what you have and when you don't understand what you have. That whould make us too think as human beings about understanding what we actually have and being thankful for it, people that doesn't understand that can live a life full of disease

I don't necessarily agree. Many human beings can handle a lifestyle of fame. Just like anything else, when you abuse something - it can have negative consequences. There are plenty of actors who don't fall victim to the temptation of drugs, but most do get stressed the hell out...but isn't that most humans?

I'll never fully understand some things I have or the life that has been layed out for me. And, I don't know many people that do. They enjoy it and make the best out of it even when they don't understand because they are thankful. I wouldn't say that I or people I know that don't understand what they have live a life of disease. It isn't a negative to me.

Being thankful - I agree with.

I am a bit confussed, because what I heard this morning in the radio news was that he died because he overdosed with pills to sleep...

If so is the case, it seems that a mistake ended up being a tragedy.
I agree with deesha, its a terrible situation that her little girl will end up growing without a father.

Very very sad!!!!

I think it's regarded as an 'accidental' overdose, he wasn't suicidal - it's all over the news here in Australia - it filled up the first 8 pages of our paper here.

Yes, and even in the link which JamiroFan2000 gave us is written about sleep pills, drugs = medicines. That could be huge accident or maybe suicide - becouse how many sleep pills would take normal man...?

If it's death by sleep pills it was suicide. To get an overdose of sleep pills you have to take a lot of them, like a whole box...

With respect Rin, I think you make too many assumptions here in relation to Heath. A lot of what's out there is speculation at the moment without the whole story I reckon.
