TYTD on Lulu's Big Show
You know the one I'm talking about... the one you can see on that show Dream Performances presented by Lauren Laverne. We've all seen it, but...

...does anyone besides me think they got it wrong saying this was recorded in December 1992? I'm pretty sure it was actually December 1993... Maurizio Ravalico doesn't seem to have joined the line up until around May 93 when BYM was released.

I'm convinced it's listed almost everywhere as December 31st 1992 because of that text overlay when it was shown on the Dream Performances program, but I think it sits more comfortably in with other stuff from late 93:

10th October 1993 - Club Citta (WYGL)
3rd November 1993 - Conan O'Brien (WYGL)
2nd December 1993 - Transmusicales de Rennes (WYGL)
5th December 1993 - Milan (WYGL)

Contrast that with stuff they did earlier in 1993 to coincide with the TYTD single release:
5th March 1993 - TYTD on The Word
11th March 1993 - TYTD on Top of the Pops

Also, the archive of the British Film Institute lists Lulu's Big Show as being shown on BBC2 at 18:30, 31st December 1993, not 92.

-----------
However, throwing a slight spanner in the works is a message I've just received from Maurizio saying his first live gig with the band was 13th November 1992, Just after WYGL on Acid Jazz was released, and his first studio session was for the recording of TYTD on 1st December that year too... So in theory, the Lulu show could still be Dec 1992. I'll have to ask him about it.

So that clears it up. Lulu's Big Show, filmed at the Glasgow Tramway, wasn't their first TV appearance, but instead was Nick's final time with Jamiroquai, in December 1993.

That means (as far as I can tell) the first time Jamiroquai appeared live on TV was when they did Too Young To Die on The Word, March 5th 1993 - the same week of the TYTD single release.
