Yes San I agree triple J is a very funky station. Very alternative as well not like the comercial stations.. I listen to it all the time, this station is responsible for introducing me to the band Jamiroquai.. When they featured the album synkronized.. lol. Razz

Radio sucks these days.

Unless you're talking about any jazz-related channel on Last.fm. Those are pretty good.

You should check out Solar Radio on the internet.
I'm sure most of you will love their playlist...

Here in Spain there is the station m80 radio (www.m80radio.com), and there is a program called Supersonido, dedicated to black music. Awesome Jamiroquai broadcasts!!

Guys,

You want some really good non-mainstream music? I have the privlege of thaving the Current in Minnesota. It broadcasts live through the internet at
http://www.mpr.org/thecurrent
THEY ALSO HAVE A FULL PLAYLIST TO HAVE AN IDEA WHAT THEY PLAY. I use it to discover artists you can't hear on mainstream radio. There's a lot of good music you'd otherwise never hear if it weren't for this station. So give it a chance.

Otherwise, for good funk/soul/jazz radio, go to DJ Benet's web radio station.
www.remotedj.com
Clicking on that link automatically launches the player, but you're not downloading anything extra. Same for the The Current. I hope you guys enjoy them both!
-Pete

How did I miss this topic? My two favorite radio shows are Eavesdrop Radio from here (Philadelphia) and Grooveline out of England. I also have been listening to Musicovery a lot, the station that plays songs based on your mood. You can pick the genre and such too.

Here is the information on all of them, as Claire and I have posted about them before...anyone that digs soul, funk, hip-hop, world, house and other like grooves, check them out...

Eavesdrop:

Grooveline:
