2 Scoops - check out the band I'm in
Hey everyone... I'm not sure if "pimping" your own band is cool on here, but being a huge Jamiroquai fan (as are my fellow band members).... they've had a pretty big influence on us (2 Scoops).
Anyways, we just recorded a 5-song EP and have a few tracks posted on our myspace. So, have a listen and let me know what you think!

Hello -
Of course you can pimp your band here!
There is a hardcore Jamiroquai fan that posts here that lives in Minneapolis as well. Maybe you should reach out to him to come see your band play. You can look him up on here. His name is Jaminneapolis.
I listened to your clips. I like the instrumentals - they are a cross of some old school soul and some 60's type rock (to my ears). I don't know about the vocals though. They sound very light..almost too light, like the singer isn't singing with his own voice or needs to bring it down a notch.
The one I liked out of all three was "Clever Man". "Free Funk Flow Machine" would have been great without vocals. That guitar is a bit overpowering to me too. I also like it more upbeat, than when it slows down.
Thanks for sharing your music and Good Luck! _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Yo 2Scoops,
I dug your stuff, and pretty much agree with deesh about the vocals, although I think the singer has a good voice, just a bit light. Keep grooving!!
Since pimping is allowed, anyone interested check out the band I'm in, Urban Sun. We are a 9 piece funk/rock unit from NYC. We just finished up our first full length CD, "Practice Me". We did the whole thing on our own, so any listeners would be greatly appreciated. Myself and the lead singer Joe are HUGE Jamiroquai fans, and are of coursed influenced by them. We had the pleasure of seeing JK & the crew live in NYC back in 2005, what a show!!!
Sola is a big personal influence on me, since I do percussion for the band.
Thanks, and keep the funk alive

Oooh, I like your band Tfunky60!
Great collective of musicians you guys have there.
I listened yesterday and the song that is on the homepage as soon as you go under the website was my favorite.
The ones on myspace are okay as well.
Good Luck!
