Derrick's equipment
Hi jamirotalkers,
Yesterday I was wondering what drum equipment derrick uses and apart from knowing he uses yamaha drum kits and zildjian cymbals, i have no ideas for what he uses for everything else (drumsticks etc..)
IF anyone has any info regarding his equipment, present and past, i would be very grateful to know..
Also, i would like to know if there are other drummers here in ur little jamiro-community...it would be nice to talk to you guys....

Hi my jami-friend. I don't know what is Derrick's equipment, but I know he uses Vic Firth stix. Well, I don't use Vic Firth, I use Pro Mark... I play drums too. Derrick isn't making any clinic right now, that's what I heard, but it would be great if he make them  yeah!
Maybe we'll have to look for his equipment in the internet...

hi
hey, I'm currently using pro-mark too... i'm using the elvin jones signature series 7a, for jazz...really lovin 'em...i think i'm gonna buy 3 more pairs...to guarantee myself...
I've just bought my drum kit, even though I play for about 8 years...i'm really diggin it...
now i'm looking for jamiroquai drum tabs...but they are IMPOSSIBLE to find....
again, if you know where to get them, PM me...

I'm using Pro Mark 5A Millenium II, they're made for beginners, I've been playing a year and a half.. Drums are very cool. I have a DW kit with 11 Sabian cymbals. My kit is big. Derrick's now using Yamaha kits.
I've been playing them when I started to play... :p

A DW KIT?!?!? Whoa, that's hot stuff...if you really have the DW, and not the pacific, you have a real good piece of equipment there...plus 11 cymbals?!?!?!?!?! That's a LOT...your kit must be really cool...
I'm playing with a pearl export series..with 3 zildjean cymbals...i'm lovin every minute of it....

Hi fellow drummers!
You can find some information on Derrick's gear in The Album Diary (article from Rhythm mag) on funkin site. Particularly it says that Derrick uses Sonor drums and Zildjian cymbals and some other info. But still that's not too much. Bassists who were into Zender had more info about his gear from Bassist interviews... |
