Na, na, na!!!!
I agree Nick Fyfe was good, but Stu Zender was even better!
So the question is, why did Stu leave the band!

Apparently Fyfe left because of personal reasons that the band wouldn't make public. Stuart left after a dispute with Jay about how much the band members were getting paid, songwritng credit, and also because he wanted to be in more of a frontman position alongside Jay. At least that's what I've been told.

Pity Crying or Very sad .

Nick did some work with the Shapeshifters so maybe he wanted a new project.

in some way... he IS! haha
Stu is an amazing bass player!

he's got his own fan base, he's got respect by important musicians! he plays a lot of instruments, he's producer, his own record label... he's amazing!!!

the others are... just bass players... Wink

I agree he is the best bassist of the jamiroquai history, but there are a lot of bass players who are way good as him or even better.

example:
Abraham Laboriel (maybe the best there is),
Marcus Miller,
Bootsy Collins,
Victor Wooten...

and a few more...

Everytime I listen to Weather Report, I think of how amazing this man was. I remember my dad playing them as a kid and just jamming out to 'Birdland'. Heart

Forget everyone you mentioned!

James Jamerson was the best, most innovative bassist EVER!
