The Loving Funk Heaftiness Of The Heavy!

buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Very Happy Nothing overjoys me more is discovering promising new bands, and in this case, with a HEAVY dose of FUNK Very Happy! This new band hails from a small town in Southwest England and are called "The Heavy", surprisingly came across a mini article about them in the latest issue SPIN. As for their sound, very very very deep in the cornroles of Curtis Mayfield vocals with Parliament/Funkadelic horns and ensemble funking it up in the back. They have a debut album entitled "Great Vengeance & Furious Fire" and from the samples on their MySpace ( http://www.myspace.com/theheavy73 ) , it sounds amazing! Also check them out at their Official Site at: http://www.theheavy.co.uk

HIGHLIGHT SONGS: That Kind Of Man, Coleen & In The Morning

ENJOY!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Hmm - I'll check it out - but one thing that really puzzles me is just why the cover art for most funk recordings made in the 2000's is so fugly?
