'You Are My Love' Appreciation Thread
Hello talkers,
Yesterday I prepared a whole new tracklisting for my player, and this morning I was walking through the hallways of my university, when 'You Are My Love' played.
I knew it was the traditional "underrated song" of Jamiroquai's catalogue, but I really felt it this time, and I don't really know why I haven't listened to that song properly, or many times as I did with the rest.
And I don't know about you, but I sensed a Stevie Wonder kind-of-feel to it, specially in some musical parts.
It was a pleasant surprise, and once again I re-discovered something. Perhaps the fact that I haven't been listening JMQ for quite some time, helped!

Funny you should make this post Dyego 'cause I had my whole iPod on shuffle today when I was out and when You Are My Love came on, I was pleasantly suprised and had similar feelings!
Not hearing it for so long and having it in my headphones in my own little world made me realise what damn good track it really is! Weird how you listen to a song for the first time in a long time and you think 'hey, how did I not like this track as much always!!??'.
Agree with the opinion that it is one of the best and most underrated JMQ tracks to date _________________ 'This is the world he wants, pray for the brave and the young...' |

wow... are you sure the word is "sleeping"?
You know that I dreamed twice (long time ago) about a suposed new Jamiroquai song, I invented the track during my sleep, I COULD HEAR IT, it was one of the most bizarre things I dreamed. I don't remember for sure, but I can tell you it was a new Jamiroquai song, with Jay singing and everything, created in the strange paths of my mind

the whole song is amazing, but i especially love the outro - perfect blend of latin, funk, horns, cool synths...makes me think of orange, purple, and lavender hues at sunset. perhaps this is the complementary evening song to stillness in time, which makes me think of morning.
it's one of those jamiroquai moments, like the bridge at 3:26 in 'where do we go from here?'..you have to get up and jump around..PERFECT. |

Curious, I dreamed several times about "new" Jamiroquai tracks, which I used to think of either as totally cool new stuff or "lost Jamiro tracks". Sadly, I lack the musical ability to play all the instruments, or even just sing it, to be able to remember it later _________________
