Domu and Pete Simpson - Soul, Nu-Jazz, House...
I stumbled upon them by accident and have listened to the songs on the MySpace and have become a fan in about 5 minutes...
I have known about Dumo for awhile, but not Pete..
This is perfect music to slide into the summer...I really dig it.
For the soul feel, check out - The Way I See
For the soulful house feel, check out - Won't Give Up.
I'm in love with this duo.

Hello,
Great post Sister Deesh, I have known of Domu & Pete Simpson since last month and haven't had the time to post about them, so much appreciated . Their combined debut album, "Look A Little Further", is absolutely astounding slice of soulful, sweet & sour soul and R&B and really worth the listen, I picked up an import from my local independant record store today which I ordered a while back. Also, if I may pop another musical recommendation here.....
Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings latest "100 Days 100 Nights" is an amazing "Dop-Wop meets Soul" concoction of an album and really worth additional listening too. Thanks again Deesh and Cheers !
Sincerely,

Happy other people dig it. Brent - I am going to order that this weekend. There are just so many times I can refresh MySpace to hear the songs . Just the soulful house vibe of it and the carefree spring and summer dance jams...I am captivated by this duo.
I really dug that Sharon Jones album too, but it didn't stick to me until I saw them live. Their musicians are so dope.
I thought there was something in here about them, but maybe not. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Sharon Jones was really good at Coachella. She was probably the best act I saw on Friday. Friday was the weakest of the 3 days there, but her performance stacked up with anyone's he whole weekend. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |
