*zed desideraja - yirdaki (didgeridoo) flavor*
Many of you are familiar with Zed (mainly for his dash to the front at Lovebox, dedicated JMQ fan or competition on Sola's website), but what you may not know is that music and art is the oxygen that keeps this man breathing.
I've known him for a few years now and he's always talked about putting out a yidaki album, as he's been playing since being introduced to Jamiroquai and particularly, Wallis Buchanan in the early 90's. He has been playing ever since. I've seen this man play and it is intense. He tried to teach me, but it didn't quite work out !
This summer he was submersed into an album that combines his playing with other elements like turntablism and percussion. You can get a sneak peek of the result on his My Space page. Check it out, support my dear friend, a fellow Jamiroquai fan and enjoy the sounds of the yirdaki in a pure, raw and unfiltered form.

While you are there, check out his paintings also in the photos gallery. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com

PS. I made this thread because he would have never made it himself and I think everyone who digs the didge or just quality music in general deserves to hear it. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Hey Missy - Sorry it took me a second to get back to you. I just remembered to ask him today. Unfortunately, the tracks aren't available for download at this time. He has 6 done, 4 which are on myspace and the other 2 which he'll reveal later. The album won't be out until September 2008...in his words, "If people can hang on until then, I'll take them on a journey"

I was around years ago when you told me you were making this album...so to still be around and see it happen makes me smile. Spreading the word is what friends do...I got you!
