Yeah, great question!! I was about to write an article about this anyways, and have some ideas already... but have to translate and bring it into an order first! Stay tuned!!!
And maybe give me some ideas, in what direction you are thinking of... what kind of traditions do you have in your country which you would like to keep? Here in Germany there are some different traditions when it comes to a x-mas dinner... some prefer to eat a very simple and modest meal (that's at christmas eve mainly) and the next two days they make a more sumptuous and elaborate meal.
Jamiroca, for how many people do you want to cook?
(... and what means chizzy? This word doesn't exist in my dictionary )

I'm vegetarian too guyz! It seems funny but this coming Christmas will be my first as well
Let's celebrate together, all veggy people???
If I had to prepare the lunch/dinner I'm sure I would cook a very special soup, maybe with cauliflower and chives with a dusted of pistachio, everything filled by little pieces of toasted bread
To follow some roasted vegetables like courgettes and potatoes with broccoli! I would serve them with Humous and pesto (with a freshy and chunky set of celeries).
As second dish I'll prepare a huge omelette (free range eggs) made by spring onions and asparagus!
An applecake to finish with strawberry juice to drink _________________

I'll post the Wiki definition. You get together with your family, give Thanks for all the things in your life and enjoy time together and some lovely traditional food mainly turkey, pies, corn, all types of veggies. It is a very big holiday in my family, with all of us going to my Grandmother's. Here is a photo album from our family's 2006 and 2007 Thanksgiving: http://picasaweb.google.com/deesha34/Thanksgiving2007?authkey=rCFqyJCbh-g#
WIKI DEFINITION:
Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, at the end of the harvest season, is an annual American Federal holiday to express thanks for one's material and spiritual possessions. The period from Thanksgiving Day to New Year's Day often is called the holiday season. Most people celebrate by gathering at home with family or friends for a holiday feast. Though the holiday's origins can be traced to harvest festivals that have been celebrated in many cultures since ancient times, the American holiday has religious undertones related to the deliverance of the English settlers by Native Americans after the brutal winter at Plymouth, Massachusetts. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com
