ah well... simon if you ever read this, I LUUUURRRVVVEE YEEEUUUU
there's very little info about this bloke online, but this is what i managed to fish out... here's one from a website for a plymouth jazz lovers haunt, with a blurry image of him ironically looking very sharp a nice n concise bio too.

I can understand that you regret not to ask him for an autograph!! I also would. Thanx for the links - its not so much but we learn a bit about him. I just looked after "Simon Carter" in google to find some more links but there seem to be thousands of Simon Carters in the world and after 6 pages I gave it up |

I'm curious davina what draws you so to the keyboardist? He happens to be my favourite bandmember also and I also would like to know more about him. I saw jamiroquai when they came to Australia and had the oppotunity to get his and other members autograph but didn't... doesn't that just suck???? Anyway I heard that they may tour again in another eighteen months so maybe we will get another chance, fingers crossed.
Suggestions to finding him through search engines try "simon carter 10CC" or "mulford macfarlane".
Good luck!!

Hi Leyla, the thing about simon is that he's such a low-profile kinda guy in the band... so much about him has yet to be splashed across front-page tabloids... kiddin. he does seem to be a very quiet contributor so for those who are curious enough to know more about him (or already do know him and want to chip in some little-known trivia/biodata/etc), here's the place to share.
thanks for the search tips leyla... i found another website that featured a review on his previous band 10cc. after reading it, s'pose he can give ol' Nick a run for his money? ;P

Flattered from the attention!
Hi guys,
I only just noticed that this thread was started about me so thanks for the interest.
As you probably know, I didn't do the recent gigs on the Midnight Sun tour but, as I have always been more of a session musician than a full band member, it was something that I thought might happen sooner or later. I had a great time on both the Synkronised and Funk Odsessy tours and enjoyed all the time I spent with Jamiroquai. I don't know if I will ever play with the band again, but am still in regular contact with some of the guys, including Matt, who I knew since before he joined the band. He's a great musician and I'm sure he'll be an important creative influence on the next album.
For those who are interested, I'm playing with Craig David now and am off on a big world tour with him over the next few months. We'll be going to Australia, the Far East, South Africa, as well as UK and European dates, so it'll be nice to hook up again with some of the people I met on my Jamiroquai travels.
So, if any of you happen to be at one of Craig's gigs, then do come up and say hi!
All the best,
Simon |
