i just discovered....
Raphael Saadiq
is an American singer, songwriter and record producer associated with the neo soul music movement.
Saadiq has been playing music since the age of six. During the 1970s and 1980s, he played bass at church and school. He also enjoyed his onstage moments at various local events of his hometown.
His 2000 song collaboration "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" won D'Angelo a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance; it was also nominated for Grammy Award for Best R&B Song [2].
Other artists he has collaborated with include Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, The Isley Brothers, Teedra Moses, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Macy Gray, Angie Stone, Snoop Dogg, Devin the Dude, DJ Quik, Kelis, Q-Tip, Lil' Skeeter, Ludacris, The Bee Gees, Musiq Soulchild, Jaguar Wright, Chanté Moore, Lionel Richie, Marcus Miller, Noel Gourdin, Nappy Roots, Calvin Richardson, T-Boz from TLC, Floetry, Leela James, Amp Fiddler, John Legend, Joss Stone, Young Bellz, Anthony Hamilton, Babyface, Ledisi, Goapele, Ginuwine, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bilal, as well as many others.

OMG...you guys are just discovering Raphael Saadiq? He is one of the best and has been around forever. Since I was a teenager actually. He was part of supergroup Tony Toni Tone!
I love him and he is one of thee best talents to cross the soul and R&B realm...as a singer, producer and musician.
Good thing you all discovered him...he is wonderful. I am still grappling with his new album, but I have his collaboration with Q-Tip called 'We Fight, We Love' is in heavy rotation.
Do a search for him on here...you might find some stuff...Okayplayer is a good place to get stuff from him as well, but that site is a bit hard to navigate for those not familiar.

I entire agree with you, Deesh...just Dave Grohl is a musician so complety like him. His last album it's amazing. I think that no are a music there that I don't like. His duet with Stevie Wonder it's the best moment in the album.
