The Brand New Heavies in Luxembourg
Well, it was great to see this great band performing again.
I can't remember the whole set list, but I'm sure VAX or Cristina will post it here soon, because they've got an original one from the band.
We also had the chance to meet the band before they left with their tour bus. They seem to be a bunch of nice guys. Unfortunately I can't post pictures here, because I forgot my camera at home, but René (the doesman) and Nathalie (freaky) made a lot of pix, they'll surely post here in the near future.
Funny fact is that Simon, the guitar player of the BNH, drank Simon beer, my favourite Luxembourgish beer brand.
To that I want to say that it was awesome to meet René and Nathalie again, if ever you're in Luxembourg again (which you will of course, at least René) just give me a call, I'll be glad to welcome you again at my place!
Finally, VAX, I owe you a drink!

unfortunately, you won't have pictures form the gig itself as the security guys were quite strict with the rules... 
anyway, other pics and setlist later on (unless the Dutch post here in between ) |

She is sooo nice and we had a great evening - I could have talked for hours!! (If my English would not be that poor some times  )

After a LONG drive we got to Anders place, welcomed by Rosa.
Poor girl made coffee, and neither me nor Rene drink the stuff.
Ander Drove us to the venue, and while we saw the big que..we decided to take a drink....nope there was nobody there!
When i went back to the place, a ticket thing, Vax recouldnised me and the three of us walked back to the cafe.
After we walked to the venue, small place, and we made front row.
Having fun and waiting for the show to start.
We made pics then, but, the security guard was...strict...when he told me for the third time during the gig i was not alowed to use the camera...i turned it of because...3 times is a lot to be told not to do a thing...did not wanna get kicked out!
So unfortunately NO pics.
RTL lux, did tape some of the gig, and did an interview with the band...the reason why we stood hours in the cold waiting haha.
So i kinda hope it is good, and somehow we can see the end result!
Before they played, u don't know why, N'Dea asked what song we wanted to hear.
Rene screamed, Gimme one of those
She Heard it, and went like..NO
Rene was a bit like...hmm i wanted to hear that song!
But the gig was great, good company, Rene got his desired autographs!!!
and pics!!!
And he made Simon, Andrew and N'dea go WILD!!!
He showed Simon his BNH Tatoo, he got in the bus and Dragged Andrew out. N'Dea loved it too, went looking for her camera!!!
And they wanted pics of them with Rene and the Tatoo....FUNKY
(meanwile, it was cold outside and Rene was in his T-shirt freeeeeeeezing his ass off)
All and all, a night i will not forget.
We tried to make a bootleg, and recorded the gig....but....Rene says the quality is tooo BAD.
So if anybody can clean audio up, please contact Rene (because he has the audio)
I do have some video + audio.
But the video is ....i was not allowed to use it so sometimes you see a part a person....
The audio, sorry have not checked it yet.

Maybe some of the ppl who was there remember Simon doing this...Van Halen Esk silly dance around the stage....looks like...i have it on tape hahaha

And i also forgot to mention this...
I heard Simon mention something about a new album in Utrecht.
And in Luxembourgh i asked him if i heard that wrong....NO
The Heavies Plann to go to a Studio February to record a new album
So keep our fingers crossed...
2009 new Jamiroquai and BNH!!!

Nice review Nathalie. I have not lot of things to say else.... 
I personnally had a great night even if I was quite disappointing with sound quality.
The band seemed to enjoy; It was their very first gig in Luxembourg; I shouted to N'Dea : come moooore
Thanks Andre and Rosa, our fellow Dutch visitors Rene and Natalie, it was great to see you guys; You had to face the cold outside waiting for the band;you deserved to see them..
Some snippet of the show as well as N'Dea-Andrew interview has been broadcasted on RTL Lux today

Aye, I saw the report on the telly today, but I was a bit disappointed because it was so short.
And Nathalie, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here at my place, if you ever come to Luxembourg again, just give me a call!
By the way, since last wednesday evening, 95% of the music I'm listening to are the Brand New Heavies! Also their live album, which is quite nice too!
Nathalie, you're right: Next year is our year, first a new Jamiroquai album, then a Brand New Heavies one and, who knows, maybe a new Incognito album (as Bluey is known as a workaholic kind of composer  ).

glad u got to meet her...and dont´worry if u didnt´understand all what she said..it´s THAT BRITISH ENGLISH that also jan is talking..i mean it´s like another language..oh and russ too...they are all the same
