High times go on and on and on and on and on and on...
So this is THE song. With Space cowboy, one of my favourites. I have to write something about it here, couse the damn song tells exactly what´s up when you´re in your "high times..."
I´m not proud of that, but last summer when I was spending a month in England, I found myself in a very good party with some friends and loads of crazy girlds in the house of a friend of them (a very good Dj) smoking "good stuff" and... er... em.... doing loads of cocaine. At about 2 o´clock the guy started mixing some records and finallly he put High times on. And then I understood what the song was really about. I mean: i´ve never heard something like that before...
Ya know: last night, turned to daylight--- and a minute, become a day--- and all that about you wasting your life and all that stuff...
The song is about that, about you wasting your life like a stupid but... living the moment till its best.
It´s very very difficult for me to explain it in english, but well... here it is.
Space cowboy is (of course) better, but is more like smoking, and high times is about self-destroying.
It doesn´t mean that you have to snif something to understand what the song is about, but it happens like it tells: you feel like it is the last night of your live and you have to enjoy it till its most.  |

I gotta agree with you about the song, Snorry. High Times is one of my favorites, especially when I'm feelin the cheeba cheeba vibe. I haven't toked in at least six weeks now, but I feel where you're coming from.
Of course, I can't say that snorting is a good thing (I'm only for the legalization of cannabis, not other drugs), but that's your business. We all know Jay did plenty of drugs in his day.
Anyway, live life to the fullest, and I'm glad Jamiroquai puts you in the good vibes zone. Take care. |

I´m not in hard drugs. I just went crazy last summer couse it was probabilly the last one without being buzy of my life (I´m in college now) and I wanted to try new things (I tried it, and I didn´t like it)
Cocaine is very dangerous and it should be banned forever. It´s very addictive and Jay should give it up. Jay´s fu...ng up his voice becouse of that. It´very sad when he tries to sing virtual insanity now.
If he continues doing it we all will have to say bye bye to jamiroquai in 3 or 4 years. 
It´s very selfish from him not to give it up. |

Agree with u Snorry and Freddie. Drugs are destructive when u loose control and can change all your perspective in life. Hope Jay get realize how dangerous could be not to stop using them.

I heard High Times in some TV series a couple of weeks ago. I was very surprised because I was just switching the channels on the TV and suddenly I heard Jamiroquai. I don't know what series it was, but there was a scene when some ladies were mixing coctails and High Times was playing in background!  |
