yes, it could be a joke, but i'm sure now jamiroquai have more ideas because this news...in fact they critized this on the song virtual insanity

Maybe my reply is nothing new or interesting to talk about, but I'm shocked not confused. I'm totally against all this kind of things, it's 100% inhuman!!!
What about instinct and joy to discover and grow up our sons...
It seems like the world will switch to a situation like "Gattaca"... the 1997 movie.

It was already possible to choose the colour of the baby, and the hair and eyes! Nothing new here! What can we do? It's Virtual Insanity we are living in!

and who defines what's normal and what isn't?
the article doesn't say with one word that they have done gen-manipulation on those eggs to either enhance or alter their DNA to let "the mother choose the colour of her child" (just to stay within the context of the song).
if you are so against this, will you stand in front of those couples who have been trying to have babies for years and tell them that they can't have any because it is against your moral views to have them have this last chance? will you tell the devastated woman that her wish is not going to be granted because you think this shouldn't happen?
i am against DNA manipulation to please "the customer" and create the mail-order human. I am also against gen-manipulation to have the possibility of a selection or the opportunity to create the human being you are after, but this article and the technique behind it stands for something completely different!
