You can post pics, especially your own pics or pics you have the copyright of.
Some time ago we had massive problems here because lots of copyrighted photos (from gettyimages and other picture agencies) had been linked to this site... so we had to clean the whole forum from those copyrighted pictures or we would have been in BIG trouble.
That's why we are a bit carefully about posting pics. I don't know what kind of pic you have posted... but I think as long as it is not an official PR photo or a pic from an official site of an artist, there is no problem. When you are not sure, just post the link or describe where you have found the pic.
Hope that clears it.

yeah it was out of a magazine...i was not really sure so i asked funky monkey to remove it...
