NEW ACT DISCOVERY: Mama's Gun
Hello Friends,
First off, yes, I have been off the 'Jamiroradar' on Talk for most of the autumn season, but don't fret, been endlessly trying to score a 2nd job, and happy to say I FINALLY got one and my frown has 'optimiscally switched back' right side round...doing alright now . Always I have always maintained, I JUST LOVE posting about new up anc coming music acts that really good, and in this new act I discovered, if Jamiroquai ever considered hanging their buffalo horns to retire, then these guys would DEFINITELY be worthy successors. Much like how artists like Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone, Duffy, Adele & Jamie Lidell have revived British Soul/R&B for a whole new generation, new British R&B/Funk/Soul band 'Mama's Gun' really burst upon the scene with the most refreshing music since Jamie Lidell's album 'Multiply'. Their debut, "Routes To Riches", is a intoxicating mixture of the usual melange of R&B/Soul/Funk and pretty much everything else musically sitting in James Brown's thrown kitchen sink. Starting off with the spectacular first single "You Are The Music", the whole album is an amazing concoction and relays the kind of 'smiling energy' that is sorely lacking in current similar acts. Check out Mama's Gun at the following links and ENJOY! MY FAV TRACKS: You Are The Music, Rico, Big Betty & Pots Of Gold:

Killer Band From Toronto
Hey people!
I discovered an amazing band from Toronto, CA called KC Roberts & the LIVE Revolution. Killer funky/soul, acid/jazz. I got their latest release called "Between the Cracks", which was recorded all in one long day! I love it, and can hear a ton of Jamiroquai influence, as well as some TOP, and Brand New Heavies in there also.
Check it out and see what you think

And if you get a chance check out my current band OTiS,

Peace,
