Rapper Guru has heart attack & is in coma..
Hello,
You might remember Jamiroquai's collaboration with Guru a few years for his "Jazzamatazz Vol. 2" album entitled 'Lost Souls', one of the best and ONLY collaborations that Jamiroquai has EVER made that turned out to be AWESOME...anyway, some bad news to point out about Guru I just read :
Rapper Guru has fallen into a coma after suffering cardiac arrest.
Details right now remain very slim, but sources have stated that the news was broken by Guru's sister.
Guru, who is a former member of the rap duo Gang Starr, is considered to be one of the pioneers of Hip-Hop/jazz crossovers. As more details are released, Hip-Hop Wired will continue to bring you all the information regarding the situation.
Our prayers go to Keith "Guru" Elam and his family.
*UPDATE*
DJ Premier, the other half of Gang Starr called up Satelite XM radio station "Hip Hop Nation" and confirmed Guru's heart attack.
"Guru IS in a coma and will go under surgery tomorrow afternoon."
I know all Jamiroquai and Hip Hop music fans prayers will gladly be forwarded to family and friends of Guru and with high hopes he can recover from this coma to bring us all more pioneering and innovative Hip Hop to the masses .
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

It's a very very sad news!
I've been loving his brilliant work (notice that in the first Jazzmatzz album, on track 10 "Slicker than most" it was Gary Barnacle on saxophone and flute who played...on the Emergency On Planet eart Lp!")
I hope that he'll be soon fine... _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

Oh my god, what a bad news
I saw him 2 years ago @ Southport and he was SUPER: singing and dancing hard for 1,30 H.
...praying for him _________________

Guru’s surgery is a success
Rapper Guru is recovering from cardiac surgery after suffering a heart attack at the weekend.
The 43 year old, a member of pioneering hip-hop duo Gang Starr, collapsed on Sunday and was rushed to a New York hospital, where he fell into in a coma.
He underwent surgery on Monday and the operation was a success, according to his hip-hop collaborator DJ Premier.
He writes on his Twitter.com page, "Good news: Guru surgery was successful, keep sending him love."
What does it means guys? Guru is still in a coma or not? _________________

It's a very sad news. I've grew up with his Jazzmatazz collection (especially the second volume. I remember, it was in august 1995 when it was released in France...ah...and I was so surprised whe I seen the collaboration with my dear Jamiroquai....as time goes by....It's a bit of me which is dead today.
Rest in Peace. God Bless you. _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |
