I voted for "picture of my live". It's just a very nice sad song. I always sing it as loud as I can and it always leaves me in a sad mood - but not for a long time |

that reminds me
I wrote a parody about this song called "a picture of nick fiffe" and posted it here, but no one seemed to respond. so there it is again:
I never had bassist, that I coud follow through.
Only Zender left a stain, on my disk once again.
I dunno who to pick, to play on A.F.O.
Been so long, with toby's synthesizer bass.
This could never really end, it's infinitly sad.
Can someone tell me how, something good became so bad
So if you have a cure, can you please send -
A picture of Nick Fyffe, with a recommend of how he should really play insead.
The precipice is there, but will I ever dare.
Throw the synth from the sky, so my music won't die.
See Sony Music said "please listen to me dear,"
"who will mind if your jazz dissapear?"
This could never really end, it's infinitly sad.
Can someone tell me how, something good became so bad
So if you have a cure, can you please send -
A picture of Nick Fyffe, with a recommend of how he should really play insead. |

I don't know if I understand the text right, but do you think that Nick can't play the bass as he should?? I can absolutely not agree with that - I love his bass-playing |

I like him to, I don't really think like this, it's just a parody.

LOL
I voted for "Corner of the Earth".
It is my BIG #1, since the 1st time I listed to this track on AFO.
I love the bossa nova style, the melody rocks you sweetly, the text is overwhelming.
I could not help crying the several first times I listed to COTE. It was not sadness at all. I just felt so moved to discover that someone was talented enough to describe the way Nature can make him feel.... and that these feelings were so much like mines.
Didgin, how could we ignore your parody! It is so funny. "A picture of my life" is a gloomy song, you are right Butterfly. The parody of Didgin sounds like "Wake up and stop grueling on your fate" . |

I voted for 2001 too because I think we can always relate to it somehow. I know that I sometimes think "what has my life become". Its a bit special. Although I equally like LF too. |

If I have to choose one, I´ll go for Main Vain. C´mon guys, this is the funkiest song of the album, with loads of violins, good bass... and I also love when JK starts dancing when the music almost stops in the middle of the tune...
By the way, why he says "higher than a pig in space"? is this an english expression or something? |
