About the lyrics
ALL ABOUT LYRICS!
-I was checking the rest of this site (is excelent, by the way) and in the “music” forum, I read that about the “ghost lyrics”, and it’s very interesting how in TROTSC album, the 40% of the lyrics in “Just Another Story” are not written in the album. Also, the lyrics of “Scam” doesn’t appear (sad to say, because is a great song and the lyrics are amazing too).
-In “Manifest Destiny” (one of the highlights in the album, let me tell you) should not be saying “they were taken far AWAY from home”? Some tiping errors.
-“All flights for the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and outer galaxies of Alpha-Centaury... Shuttle Departs 2 point 5, 6 seconds” Wow. I never figured it out. I love the beggining of “Feel So Good”. Another “ghost lyric”.
-In “Black Crow” there is a phrase that doesn’t appear in the album: “Understanding everything, but you know nothing at all”.
-In ”Destitute Illusion”, I don’t know if Jay says “Destitute Illusions, right before your eyes”.....mmm.... I’m not sure.
-“Everybody’s Going To The Moon” talks about the effects of drugs? “Hit that switch and hyperzoom!”, “Let’s travel to a beautiful new world”....I don’t know, but is a great song.
Another thing that I enjoyed, was how the song “Main Vein” brings so many questions. Why the name?! Why those phrases without sense?! I think we should leave it to imagination.
I read something about “King For A Day” was dedicated to Stu Zender (“I’m in no hurry baby, to see go to ground”). Mmmm I don’t know if that’s true, but in an interview made by Much Music before the release of “Synkronized”, Jay said that after the recording of the second “Sykronized” they had only 9 songs. If that’s true, “King For A Day” should be the 10th and, why not, some phrases dedicated to the bassist.
This topic if for you to say whatever you want about the lyrics. Comments, which one do you like the most, curiosities, questions (I don’t know, for example, I don’t understand “Snooze You Lose”...or “Supersonic”), anything.
