COTE is my favourite tune ever and not just by them. I understand it isn't their best song ever but it touches something in me like no song has ever managed to do. I love it that much that every time I hear it I get jealous and wish I had come up with it, something that I never feel as I think jealousy is the biggest emotional waste there is.
I really can't stand FJLIS period
I didn't dig WKR the first listen, found it too cold and I still miss some warmth in the album version but live it sounds abso****inglutely great!
King of a day doesn't do anything to me, always forget about it.
Congratz on 2000 posts!

I don't know if the word is 'weird', honestly.
For me, the most difficult one to 'get into' was definetely Feels Just Like It Should. In fact, I think I like it just for repetition.
White Knuckle Ride is just average, and the easiest to get into. Very radio-friendly.
Corner Of The Earth has always been a pleasure to listen to. The intro and the outro makes it special.
If it wasn't for Supersonic (song and video) I probably wouldn't be here. That was the reason I bought Synkronized, when I was just 12. |

Well, COTE is a pleasure to listen to lyrically the song is beautiful, becoming one with nature to escape the chaotic imperfect world.
WKR is kick-a$$ money radio song. I like it , punchy and danceable.
I admit when I first joined Jamirotalk, I didn't even know about Dynamite. So I hit up youtube and educated myself, FJLIS is my second favorite song on it. It made me feel all naughty and errumm ....dirrty , hard funk/rock feel and grimy/GodFather-like vocals and a cool video topped it off just nice.
As for Supersonic, I couldn't wrap my head around it, I don't know why either. maybe it was so repetitious and it bugged me. But it grew on me, I kinda sorta like it. The video is cool , and I really like his hair in it , cornrows and he did the "Robot" dance
I often find that if the song sucks at first , a good music video makes the song tolerable. _________________

Agree on that. COTE is beautiful, specially Live. I don't like KFAD. It never growed on me. A song that, believe me or not, didn't like me at all was Space Cowboy... but suddenly, specially when I heard it live, I found it very delightful. Supersonic is not for me. I don't stand it. In FJLIS, I didn't like it at the beginning. Now I do. Some parts, only. And finally, a song that won't grew on me, even if I try is Blue Skies hahaha. |

Hello,
Well, I still think, even though it has the 'deepest groove factor' of any Jamiroquai song, "Snooze You Lose" was one humdinger of a weird song. Cheers!
Sincerely,

For me the 'weirdest' Jamiroquai song is 'Getin Funky'. |

what about "World That He Wants"?
lyrics are great, the melody is nice, and strings are very very good...
but it's far from being a Jamiroquai song... record Chris Martin's voice over it and it could easily fit in a Coldplay album, and they could even release it like a single...
That's "weird" for me... |

I always liked:
Feels Just like it should
Supersonic (great groove, great video, but repetitive lyrics)
White Knuckle Ride
Not too much:
King for a Day
Corner of the Earth
Absolutely love --> World that he Wants. So political and well written.
I really enjoy songs like Dynamite, & Where do we Go from Here.
But actually, Jamiroquai are already all over the place. Which is great for me, cuz that's kinda how I like it. But please no country. |

I would like to add these to the list:
Drifting Along
Loveblind
Hot Tequila Brown
Electric Mistress
when i listen to these songs, they don't sound like jamiroquai's music but i do like DA and EM _________________ I think it’s time to find a new religion |

I loved Electric Mistress the first time I heard it.
Eventually I became less interested, but there's was something about it the first few months I heard it where I absolutely loved it. I'm sure those feelings will come back sometime. They always do when it comes to music. |

Yes, Electric Mistress is a great tune. Reminds me of dancing in clubs. |

the B-Side "Do It like we used to" seemed a bit odd to me. _________________

Electric Mistress and Hot Tequila Brown sound great live (check out the dynamite tour and Lovebox bootlegs) but on the record I don't like them very much.
The worst jmq track IMHO is World that he Wants.
...They are all in the last album, hope I won't have to update the list in November _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |
