Do you remember my soap-bubbles?
You might have wondered what's the matter with this weird soap bubbles, haven't you? How does it fit to Jamiroquai?
Okay, I will let you into the secret...
Berlin, Arena, October, 28th: Me and CosmicBear were standing right in front of the stage, under the microphone of Jay in the very first row, enjoying this wicked fantastic amazing concert of Jamiroquai.
In my hand a little bottle of soap-suds, trying to make soap bubbles dedicated to the band. It has been a spontaneous idea, perhaps to be conspicuous or something like that, instead of throwing flowers or teddy bears.
It wasn't actually easy to make solid bubbles, because of the hot air in the room and the lather on the liquid.
But however it did its work, Jay recognized them and tried to catch some bubbles. But most of them didn't reach him.
But then, finally, while they were performing Space Cowboy, Jay managed to burst one big bubble ...
  YES! STRIKE!!!
Then he said: "Sure, you can't burst my bubbles..."
A few weeks later, after the concert at Brixton Academy we were waiting at the back entrance for something to happen and we actually met Rob, Nick and finally Jay. While he gave me an autograph on my shirt I asked him, if he remembered my bubbles in Berlin.
It was so funny, he was laughing and he was wondering about my question. I don't know why! He repeated me and said: "Do you remember my bubbles, do you remember my bubbles? Ha ha ha...oh yes, I remember your bubbles, and I was a little concerned about you!!!"
Did I say something wrong? Huh? Strange...
Since this day the soap-bubbles have been my "trademark"

Okay, CosmicMouse brought up the subject, I also have to put in my part of the story...
This is especially for Rob:
When we met after the concert in Dezember in London, we didn't mean to be rude when we run away from you after Jay left the theater! I mean, you recognized us from Berlin and we interrupted the conversation to turn around and run to Jay.
PLEASE forgive us. We were just carried away by the opportunity to actually meet all of you guys in person.
I am aware of the fact, that this is rude and unpolite, but please believe me this was nothing personal. I hope, we will meet again on day, and that we will get the chance to appologize to you in person! (Or even fall on our knees on the ground to make it up)
I think, you are one of the greatest guitar-players of all time. Listening to you performing Deeper Underground and Return Of The Space Cowboy makes my head spin! It's just so funktastic!!!
Oh, and another confession we have to make: Remember the black Volkswagen Polo that followed you after the concert in Berlin? That was us! My regards to your busdriver - he tricked us good!
Cosmic Greetings from your biggest fan

We took a picture...
After the concert at Brixton Academy last december, we were able to take a picture of Jay after he signed my shirt.
On the left: CosmicMouse, on the right: Sarah, another german fan
(where are you, Sarah? I miss you here!!!) and in the middle the king of funk himself
What a great night

LoveFool, trust me, it was fantastic! not only, that we got to meet the band (even it was only for a very short moment), but also london itself was fantastic. even though it was december, we had sunny weather all the time, the concert was funktastic, it was a perfect trip!! i am sure, CosmicMouse will agree with me!
the only sad part about this trip is, that my creditcard still hasn't recovered from it!
Cosmic Greetings

hey that's so cool! what an ingenius way to be remembered... i'm so happy 4 u guys... and what a good photo! do u have it in color too? jay looks so stoned there, like 'huh?! where'd that flash come from?' CosmicBear, i can sorta relate to your situation. nick was talking to me and another fan, and then toby came out of the stadium and i wanted to talk to him so badly, but nick was talking so nicely to us that i couldn't bring myself to break away from the conversation. i lost my chance to talk to toby even tho he seemed occupied talking to simon and rob, i think. ah well... you win some, you lose some. i managed to get toby's autograph and picture after the concert anyway, so i guess that ain't too bad. |

hey, davina, yeah you are absolutly right. you win a little, you loose a little
i don't know if jay was stoned when we took the picture. this picture was taken about an hour after the concert and when he came out of Brixton Academy, he looked really tired and exhausted. I think, that is where his look comes from. And yes, there is a color-version of the picture. (SARAH!!!! Contact either Mouse or me!!!!)

Bubbles at the festivals???!!!
Hi CosmicBear!
We should make plans for the festivals... what about these bubble-guns you were talking about? This time the band should remember US and not only the bubbles! Any ideas?

hi guys
congratulations for such an amazing trip!
Cozmicbear, I´m sure Rob would understand what happened and Cosmicmouse, I think that the bubble-gun is not a very good idea. All the security staff would get on you if they see you pointing Jay with a gun (yeah, even if it´s a big red-toy gun, people are paranoic with security in these times) |

Bear, wake up from your winter sleep!!
Reviving this old topic, full of memories and.... bubbles!!!
Bear, where are you? Look what I found today in the local toystore:
I bought two of them: one for me, one for you!
Snorry, you might be right about the security problems... but we will try it anyway.
