Well, know a Guy who is AC/Dc collector.
There is a very rare AC/DC single, The first single of the band, called "Can I Sit Next To You Girl", a 12" Vinyl (Single and B´Side). The most primitive band formation, before Bon Scott!!!
Well, that guy has spent 4000 $ in it, so, Jamiroquai singles and promos are cheap, I know that they are cheap _________________

The Jamiroquai stuff will probably get more expensive with time. AC/DC has been around much longer henve their old rare stuff is more expensive. Still... AC/DC is cheap compared to stuff from The Beatles. If someone wants to collect The Beatles and have "everything" (no one can have everything though) that someone must be a millionaire.
Your friend probably made a very sound investment. That 12" will only increase in value. When he's an old man it will buy him a nice house on some paradise island. _________________ Old school forever! |

I'm not completely sure that records raise their value with time. Imagine Jamiroquai giving up making records, who will be intrested in the promos in ten years? The fanbase will decrease and yes, of course most collectors wont give up (we all here won't give up ) but it would be much difficoult to find buyers for most of the stuff. That doesn't apply to the holy grails like the french box it's clear... _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

Rare records will always keep their value or even increase with time. As long as there are fans... and for quality music there will always be fans. That's at least what I think. From what I've seen at eil, eBay and record fairs most bands/artists seem to have a collector fanbase. People are even hunting high and low for Modern Talking rarities!
I'm pretty sure stuff like Morning Glory, the "French Box", white label Acid Jazz WYGL and other rarities will be attractive in 20 years. Even if Jamiroquai stopped making music today.
Not that I want to sell anything... but if I got enough money to buy me a house in the sun where I can spend my last days on earth I would let go of some stuff when I'm about 70.
10 Jamiroquid, the universal currency.

Do you issue deals like futures? I pay now and you give me the stuff about...in 30/40 years? _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

Sure! As long as you accept the future value I've estimated. Do you want the WYGL Acid Jazz white label? 30 years from now I predict that it will be worth £1 million. But I'll be a nice guy and let it go for half. Please PayPal me the funds (I'm very nice, I won't add the fees) and I will send you the record in 30 years. Deal? _________________ Old school forever! |

...Anyway it would be silly to estimate how much will earn paypal with a £ 1 million transaction... _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

I really don't know Tiago. I don't buy to sell even though I may have some items I could part with if I had to. But some items are priceless... to me. _________________ Old school forever! |
