Promotion for RDLS
I thought I'd open a thread for all articles and promotion for the new album.

Also interviews with Jay about the new release can be put here!!

I start with a little article which made me giggle:

http://perezhilton.com/2010-08-23-jamiroquai-to-release-new-album

Especially some comments are funny, for example: "Wait, he is white?!" LOL

Enjoy and please post all articles, interviews and other promotion for the new album *Rock Dust Light Star* here!!

Meike

Regarding the promotion, I was wondering if WKR and Blue Skies get much airplay (on radios and music TV channels)?

I'm totally out of the loop regarding mainstream radios and TV, so I have no clue on how the news tunes are doing airplay-wise (yet, no one told me they'd heard it on French media, so coverage probably remains minimal)

promotion over here is poor so far, Blue Skies and White Knuckle Ride arn't playlisted on radio and tv. So we're looking at a struggle for a top 40. Doesent really matter though, its the album thats important.

He’s a fan …yuck! He doesn’t know that we Americans will have to wait until next year to get a release date and some tour dates.

Well, here in the Netherlands WKR was a 'Megahit'on radio channel 3fm between 27aug-3sep, so I guess it was played every hour or so?
Look here by the way to see statistics of how often they play a song:
http://www.3fmfan.nl/page/muziekstats/zoeken?opdracht=jamiroquai&zoekop=artiest
(songs not played from a computer or songs played from location broadcasts are not counted in these statistics)

Came across this article below; a car forum site where they talk about the fun material used in the recent video clips Wink

Here in Argentina, several radios are playing WKR. For example, it was selected as the perfect song for the perfect day by "dia perfecto" for the Metro 95.1 Radio. Metro is a Dance Radio. http://diaperfecto.metro951.com/2010/08/26/tema-perfecto-jamiroquai-white-knuckle-ride/

The same radio played WKR in most of its programs and with very goog comments.

Then it´s located at number 25 of FM Rock and pop. This radio is a very big Rock and Roll Radio, the most importan radio here, so that possition is a very good one......thnik that is a ROCK radio.....the number 1 is from Iron Maiden

http://www.fmrockandpop.com/ranking/1104-puesto-25-white-knuckle-ride-jamiroquai

Then i kown that Rolling Stone Magazine has an article that is not very good for jmqi.....but......anyway they have the video of WKR and BS in their website http://rollingstone.com.ar/1309194-jamiroquai---blue-skies

and here are some articles on newspaper:

Hahaha...More from Perez on Blue Skies. He's dubbed the track a 'snoozefest.' Most of the commenters disagree with him, however. Post features the BS video.

Here in the spanish version of fame, White Knucle ride has sounded at least 3 times.

In the Perez Hilton blog:

Quote:
We’re hoping they can deliver, because there’s an acid-jazz-sized hole in our heart that needs to be filled!

Hmm... judging by what we know right now, it's going to be a "no", dude.
